Room: Was immediately taken aback by the ocean front upon entering our room. The view from our balcony was overwhelmingly breathtaking, then there was the discovery of the jacuzzi tub on the balcony to add to the flurry of excitement. The beds were immaculately clean. The room was also spacious enough for double cartwheels 🤸♀️ 🤸♀️
Food: The buffet dinner was one of the best I’ve ever had, which also came with a main course that offered slices of Wagyu beef. Wouldn’t hurt to take in a few extra bites right? LOL! Italian artisan desserts and gelato tasted like paradise. Breakfast was equally delicious. Fresh sashimi, sea snails 🐌 plus a bunch of baked goods to go with the cheesy scrambled eggs I couldn’t have enough of…..decadent flavors completely brightened my day. To top it off, the hotel’s free snack bar located on the first floor offered a wide range of drinks and sweets, became all the rage among the children… and adults 🍻 🤣
Facility: Sunset view was stellar! The onsen was also very clean and relaxing…..PLUS the view! the view! the view! Cannot emphasize enough of the magnificent view in this place. I’ll die a happy soul. Amen.
Location: Short walking distance to the sand bar that leads to the Sanshiro Island. Too bad we were late and didn’t get to cross the strip, but the beach was enough for the kids to have a blast. Came across shed snake skin on our way back. Might take note of where you...
Read moreWhat an incredible place. We only stayed here for one night but wished it was longer. The biggest regret of our Japan trip was not staying here longer. The rooms are huge and very nice. They supply you really nice pajamas and the bath on the balcony was amazing. The views….oh wow the views. The beauty of this place is like no other. We had our breath taken away watching the sunset from our balcony, sipping on sparkling wine in the bathtub. It brought tears to my eyes. The value here for what you get is maybe the best deal I have ever got. I feel like this would have been an $800-$1000 hotel room per night here in Canada. On top of the amazing room and views, you get all inclusive alcohol, snacks, and breakfast buffet included. This is crazy! I wished I could take the self-serve draft beer machine home with me to Canada! On top of this, they had a free shuttle to the train station in Mishima. We had the pleasure of riding with the General Manager and he spoke great English and was an honor to meet him. We saw barely any foreigners while we were there which we don’t understand because this place was incredible. Out of everywhere we went in our 2-week Japan trip this area was by far our favourite. Next time we come back to Japan we will stay here again and for longer next time. Thank you for such a...
Read moreThis hotel is located a few minutes walk from the Dougashima Park. It presented an unique experience, different in many ways from our experience with Japanese hotels elsewhere. Check in was very personal. Seeing us arriving in a car, a staff comes out to help our bags and this same staff will check in for us. First of all, she asked us to sit down somewhere comfortably and she did all the required process from there. Afternoon drinks and snacks were very substantial, including wine, beer and quality juice. Whilst enjoying them in the scenic lobby was perfect, containers and carrying baskets were provided to allow us to carry them to our room to enjoy. We never had that kind of experience. The room was huge and modern. The view from our room is the most scenic and it comes with a balcony and a jacuzzi in it. We stayed half board. Both dinner and breakfast were buffet style and yet they were one of the best we had among hotel stays. If I have to comment, the check in time at 1500 was too strict by placing a sign post outside the hotel entrance. It indicated to us that we are not welcome to enter to wait even during a bad weather. The onsen was extremely well maintained but the variety of pools was quite limited. We were glad that we had...
