Sun Peach Okayama — Hotel in Okayama

We stayed here in May 2008 during a three week trip to Japan to visit friends. The hotel website is entirely in Japanese so a Japanese friend made the booking for us. The rooms were plenty large enough to be comfortable. As it's a business hotel the beds are twins or singles but the twins are large and big enough for two if like us you don't like sleeping alone. The breakfast which was included was the usual mixture of traditional Japanese with added european extra's. Very plentiful though and served in a glass walled dining room where you can watch the world go by as you eat. The staff didn't speak english but with pictures, smiles and my limited and basic japanese we got by although they made a real effort to find someone with a smattering of english to help us. Dry cleaning was taken and returned promptly and luggage delivery, of course, waas efficient. It is in easy walking distance of the Shinkansen station where there are several places to eat. Would definately use again if can navigate the website. Would recommend as an easy introduction to Japanese business hotels. Thank you we enjoyed out...

I stayed here for a week during a visit to Okayama University of Science. My Japanese host made the booking, and it might be difficult to book directly as like most Japanese hotels not much English is spoken, though I did meet a couple of staff with good English, so a booking by FAX might work. Expect to pay cash upfront for your stay - very reasonable prices (about 7000 yen per night).||||It's a short walk from the main JR station for the Shinkansen or the bus station for the airport bus from Osaka, and it's easy to reach the centre of town and the Koraku-en Garden if you fancy a bit of tourist time. A comfortable room with a good breakfast (pick up your breakfast ticket when you collect your key each evening); the breakfast is Japanese style but you soon get used to that. No WiFi but a cable is provided for a LAN connection....

地方共済組合の宿泊施設なので、普通のホテル並みの受付対応を求める人には向いていません。しかし、岡山駅や飲食店街にも徒歩圏内ですし、建物はキレイだけどお手頃価格。 部屋には無料のコーヒー、お茶、ミネラルウォーターがあります。そして何よりも魅力的なのは大浴場があります。立地的に普通のお湯で循環式ですが、カルキ臭も少ない。湯温は42～43℃くらいあり、ちょっと熱め。もう少し下げて欲しい。 夜は24時まで、朝は6時から入浴可能。 脱衣場に無料で使える洗濯機もあります。（洗剤は￥30） 駐車場は建物に併設された立体駐車場がありますが、3ナンバー車の中でも少し幅のある車はホイールに傷が付く可能性があります。車幅的には入庫可能だけど、床がフラットではなく中央とサイドが盛り上がった構造なので、トレッドの広い車は数センチの余裕しかありません。（Z33は無理） ホテルロビー前に9台くらい青空駐車できますが、会議などの利用があった場合、車のサイズ関係なく占領されるので駐車スペースがありません。（会議の終わる16時以降がベストかも） 周りには有料駐車場がありますが、提携の駐車場は無いので自分で探すしかないし、駐車料金もかります。 フロントでチェックインを済ますとカードキーを渡されますが、宿泊階の5階～8階に行くには、エレベーターに乗ってカードキーをかざさないと宿泊階には止まらない仕組みになっています。 Wifiは館内全体で使えます。電波状況も回線速度も問題ありません。 まあ、安くてキレイなので、岡山で宿泊する時は、ま...
