Hotel Fine Garden Juso — Hotel in Osaka

The Hotel is a more traditional style accommodation, where you are basically paying for a room and get a few bonuses thrown in (Ella Bache Shampoo, Conditioner, Body Wash and some other lotions). Whenever you leave the Hotel you're required to hand in your key, which they give you a laminated card to show when you return (most hotels give you a keycard that you take with you during your stay). The reception is available 24/7, but if no-one is at the desk, then you needed to ring the bell, which was responded to promptly and staff were friendly and polite. It would have been nice to have tea/coffee/milk/sugar sachets available, but this was not an option. I really appreciated having access to a washing machine and dryer to be able to wash my clothes that was really cheap to use (¥300 for washing machine, ¥100 per 30 minutes for dryer). One thing that I wasn't quite prepared for was knowing the nature of the area that I was staying in, and the clientele of the Hotel (essentially termed a Love Hotel). Quiet hotel. Room was comfortable with everything necessary. Breakfasts were OK, but would be nice to have more choices. What was surprising that employees either spoke limited English or no English at all. Guys, you are in tourist business! Only five minutes walk from Juso station, the hotel is easily accessible, with friendly English speaking staff. We haven't tried room service but there is a laundry room available, and vending machines in the room with drinks and other things.
