Hotel Lantana Osaka — Hotel in Osaka

I stayed there 1 week (double room).

For the price, its fine.

I wouldn't recommend it for families; it is a sort of hybrid of a normal and a love hotel, located in a love hotel area. Not at all sketchy like Kabukicho though.

The good part is definitely the size of the room, with a real Japanese bath and separated toilets & shower room, and for once a real table with chairs!

Cleanliness wasn't the best (stains here and there). The staff was very helpful, but although most of the time they aren't there.

The part that really annoyed me was that cleaning was provided only twice a week, on Friday and Monday ! And you have to ask for it with the door tag or they won't do it....!

The coin laundry was perfect. Lobby has a weight scale, drinks vending machine and microwaves.

The hotel is centrally located in the Juso district, not too far from Juso Station. A great supermarket (Don Quijote) is situated very nearby. Juso also offers plenty of affordable, tasty, and less crowded options for food.Juso Station is primarily served by the Hankyu Railway and is therefore not on the JR Line. If you’re using a JR Pass and aiming to save costs, this may be a factor for consideration because we found we had to travel to the Osaka metro station to get to places. That being said, the cost of the hotel was reasonable, perhaps offsetting the additional travel expenses. The hotel looks new and modern, although a bit far away from main Osaka touristic places. There was not restaurant service because it was under refurbishment. We stayed for 4 nights.

The room was big enough and we loved the bathroom since it was divided into rooms as well for privacy. Nevertheless, my impression is that the cleaning is not good at all since there was a lot of dust and even some earrings from previous customers (see pictures)

Something I did not like was the front-desk staff since they were almost never there. Also not much of help. Even though there is a phone to get support, most of the times you will not...
