It’s new boutique hotel that just finished renovations near Umeda. The interior is very lovely and instagrammable🥰
It’s in very convenient location, 3 mins walk to Nakatsu station and 13 mins walk to Umeda station. They have cafe and bar in the first floor but haven’t open yet. We usually stay in Shinsaibashi but we don’t like the Shinsaibashi area because so crowded and noisy. Umeda area is so much better, they have many shopping mall and those usually connected, we can easily travel to Kyoto and Kobe and other cities. We will for sure to stay again next time.
We booked the luxury suite room with living room, kitchen and washing machine for a week. It’s very spacious, our 4 years old daughter was running around in the room. She loves it!!🥰
Also it’s baby friendly hotel👶🏻, the hotel has baby cot to rent in the room and it’s free of charge! Since we have 5 months old young baby. It’s so amazing that they have baby cot but you have to book it in advance because they don’t have many to rent out.
Another most important is they have kitchen and washing machine in the room, especially when we travel with baby and toddler, we need to make the milk and wash the clothes. Usually other hotel in Japan is very small and surely they don’t have baby cot and no kitchen and washing machine in the room.
It’s good for long stay and who travel with young kids. Highly...
Read moreAbsolutely loved our stay at The Gala Hotel in Umeda, Osaka—it was the perfect home base for our family trip to Japan. From the moment we arrived, we felt warmly welcomed. The hotel is incredibly family-friendly: our room was spacious and thoughtfully designed, giving our family of six plenty of room to spread out and relax. One of the highlights? The amazing bathroom and shower—truly one of the best we’ve experienced while traveling.
The sweetest touch was the kids’ welcome packs, complete with tiny slippers that had all of us smiling. It’s that kind of attention to detail that made our stay so memorable.
Location-wise, The Gala Hotel is a gem. It’s ideally situated near multiple train lines, which made it easy for us to explore Osaka and also take quick day trips to Nara and Kyoto. We couldn’t have asked for a better jump-off point to discover the region.
The aesthetic of the hotel is beautiful—modern and fresh with vibrant pops of color and lots of greenery that gave it a calming, boutique feel. One of our favorite rituals was enjoying a quiet morning coffee on the rooftop terrace, a peaceful way to start our day before diving into sightseeing.
I would recommend The Gala Hotel in a heartbeat—perfect for families, beautifully designed, and wonderfully located. A true gem in the...
Read moreWhat a fantastic stay we had at The Gala Hotel in Umeda, Osaka. I was traveling with my wife, our kids, and our grandkids—a total of six of us—and I have to say, this hotel really delivered.
The rooms were surprisingly spacious, which is not always the case in Japan, and that made a big difference for a group like ours. The bathroom was hands-down one of the best I’ve seen: modern, spotless, with great water pressure and a relaxing atmosphere. I actually looked forward to my evening shower!
But what really impressed me was the location. As someone who enjoys exploring and making the most of a trip, I loved how easily we could hop on a train and head out to places like Kyoto and Nara. It made the hotel a perfect base for our adventures.
Our grandkids were thrilled with their little welcome gifts, and seeing their excitement each day added so much joy to the trip. The hotel has a stylish, contemporary feel, with colorful accents and lots of natural touches—and I appreciated the calm rooftop space in the mornings to sip my coffee before the day began.
All in all, this was a smart choice for our family—comfortable, convenient, and genuinely enjoyable. Highly recommend it to anyone traveling with family or looking for a solid, well-run hotel in the...
