Overall I would not return to this hotel. The rooms are pretty much what you will find anywhere, small but functional. The restaurant downstairs is unclean, understaffed, and offers very little for what you are paying. Each day I checked the "clean" mugs for one which I could use for a cup of burnt coffee; all of them had stains and residue I could easily scratch out with a fingernail. If this is how food service is handled I dont want to know what else is going on.
Perhaps this could be chalked up to cultural differences, but the salmon breakfast was so riddled with bones (at least a dozen in a small 3 oz piece) that it was basically inedible without spending significant effort to mash my food up like a toddler to sort through.
I tried to get a refund for my remaining breakfast tickets (also an inconvenient system by the way) and was refused due to how I booked. When politely asking if there was anything else that could be done, I was politely told that there wasn't, so that's money down the drain I coukd have spent anywhere in the immediate vicinity for a much better experience.
The hotel is in a good location, close to many places with good food as well...
Read more(Visits:1) I stay in a LOT of hotels in Japan for business or travel. Probably 4-6 times a year for over a decade. This was one of the best business hotels I have stayed in. Top 3 for sure. Nice building, nice room. Best bathroom I have seen in a business hotel in Japan. Tons of amenities in the bathroom. Clean. Lots of outlets. TWO free water bottles a day. Easy, fast check in. No asking for my "gaijin card" which hotels are NOT allowed to even ask for. I had my driver's licence out and ready to hand them to copy. And they were like, we don't need that. Just write your name and address here. They were a tiny bit more expensive than the cheapest places, but you get what you pay for. The breakfast was super nice... but pre-made. Western or eastern style. Both looked amazing. I just didn't really like about 1/3 of what was on the plate. I would prefer a buffet style where I can choose. My only gripe, not a big deal. Easy enough to choose no breakfast next time and hit the combini for breakfast. I will be keeping my eye open for this chain next time as they are...
