I cannot recommend Kintsugi House highly enough – it’s an absolute treasure nestled in the heart of Tajimi. The house itself is a perfect blend of traditional Japanese design and modern comfort. The house is spacious, incredibly cosy and filled with thoughtful touches. The host’s hospitality was outstanding – we enjoyed a personalised tour around Tajimi, which was unforgettable! We discovered hidden local gems, ate the most amazing food and explored the town’s rich ceramic history. It was definitely Turku the best valued Airbnb I stayed in Japan, with amazing amount of space both downstairs and upstairs with a beautifully set up lounge and kitchen area and spacious bedrooms upstairs. The decor was beautiful with works from local artists - including from the host Ion - on display throughout the house and attention to detail in all the furnishings. The location was perfect for exploring Tajimi - close to local restaurants and beautiful ceramic stores. Tajimi itself was a nice surprise too! Lots of ceramics to obsess over and unique restaurants to enjoy local produce and specialities. A perfect getaway from the hustle and bustle of Tokyo! Honestly, had THE best time and can't wait to visit again :)
