Comfortable indeed that’s why it’s the comfort hotel. Small carpark at the ground level for those who drive.
Walking distance to the shopping street and easy access to convenient stores / food. Walking distance to the renown parks in the area. About 20 min walk to the sea front / Takamatsu station.
Beds are comfortable enough. We booked a twin room for more space. It was nice with a small seating area.
Our room included the breakfast buffet which is sufficient enough. Choices of breads, spreads, Japanese rice, sides like stir fry beef, chicken stew, soups change daily but there’s always salad, fruit and yogurt too. There’s also smoothies, teas, coffee etc. although there’s some changes, after 3 days we had enough of the breakfast haha.
Morning time can be a rush and many people want to dine / can’t get seats. But you can also self pack some foods in the takeaway packages to eat in your room or on the go which is convenient.
Check in / out time is strict - they didn’t offer early check in although we arrived at 1+pm. There’s some small payment issue with foreign credit card we experienced but the staff were patient to continue helping us.
On the whole it was a good stay for us except they didn’t have Onsen hot spring like many hotels in the area have. But the location and size of the room suited our purpose. Would recommend this...

Why even have such a limited parking lot? Even my little BMW hatchback was "too big" so we went off in search of another parking lot after a long day driving.
The hotel itself looks nice and new, though the self-check-in kiosks take way longer than a real person would. I reserved two rooms in the same name, but you have to do the same long process separately for each room.
The rooms themselves were very small (even by Japanese standards), the bed is up against the wall with no room to walk around it at the end of the bed, so you literally have to crawl over the other person to get out of bed. A tiny little 'desk' (with no chair) just further clutters the room. No space at all to open a large suitcase. Overall, even though it wasn't expensive, it just felt annoying and inconvenient.
If you can get a cheap deal and you literally just need a bed in Takamatsu (and you aren't driving),...
Read moreThis hotel’s only downside is the location, that it is quite far from the ferry terminal and the station. However, you can easily get to lisurin garden or chuo park, and also to night time eateries. I used a shared elec bike called “luup” and this saved us a lot of times going to/from other islands everyday.
Breakfast is nice. Room small but clean. Outside at night was a bit noisy, crazy bikes screeching the road incessantly every night, which is not the hotel’s fault.
Will I stay here again? Well maybe if the rate is cheaper, but next time I decided to stay in Naoshima Benesse house. It is very very different type of vacation whether you stay in Benesse or not. I didn’t know this and managed to have a great hotel anyway, but next...
