Rakuten Stay Villa Fuji Yamanakako — Hotel in Yamanakako

We stayed at this property, villa number 105, in April of 2023. When we arrived we noticed all the sofas were heavily soiled and stained -see pictures. We tried not to think about it too much, but no one really wanted to spend time in the living room - it was really just that bad. There was not one clean spot on the sofas. For the price we paid we felt this was unsatisfactory. I feel terrible that people have treated an otherwise nice apartment like this, but in the end, that is not my fault as a guest and we treated the property with the utmost respect despite this condition.

We notified management via email as they do not have a person on-site. We received no response.

Upon check out, we actually called and told them they had not addressed our concern. They told us they would respond soon. Still there is no response.

I do not recommend this property. If you have any problems, I doubt they will be addressed.

Spent two nights. Location is perfect. Where you can see the perfect sunrise in 2 minutes waking distance. The villa is pretty big. We check in 3 adults and 2 kids. Space is pretty decent. However, the water pressure has been a disappointment. You can only use water one person at a time. Even just flush the toilet will lead to the person in the shower getting cold water splashing. Since the place has no staff and room service, we cannot fix it at all. The bath tab is so big. But unfortunately, due to the water issue, it took 2 hours to fill the tab. I would expect more...

We stayed in Villa No. 101, and the view of Mount Fuji from the bedroom was absolutely stunning – we all loved it! The villa was fully equipped with everything we needed, plus complimentary Japanese beer. The check-in process, which is automated via an iPad, could be simplified. It was quite complicated and time-consuming, and the experience became even more stressful when there was a connection error during check-in. Everything else was great, though.
