Handmade Soba Yamasato — Local services in Yamanakako

Came here on a rainy day just before our bus back to Tokyo and wasn’t disappointed at all.

We got the Soba noodles with hot duck meat soup and the cold dipping sauce with Tempura.

The tempura was perfectly seasoned and gently fried for a mild fried feeling but was one of the best vegetable and shrimp tempura with the right amount of crisp.

The duck soup was again perfectly seasoned and had two meat balls and pieces of roasted duck with large pieces of spring onions.

We were served radish and sprouts all mildly pickles for appetisers but went perfectly well with the dish.

The service was on point with a mild jazzy ambience.

During lunchtime there is a wait. But it isn't very long and makes the experience all the more enjoyable. I had the tennseiro a set that included seiro, the cold soba and tennpura, Japanese fried vegetables and shrimp. The soba was absolutely fabulous and it's flavor can't be recreated without it being handmade. The tennpura combos with the soba to provide your mouth with the most delightful taste.
