Yamanakako Garden Villa — Hotel in Yamanakako

The hotel is located off the main road running along Lake Yamanaka. There is a small parking area for guests which can fill up easily. But there is extra space if necessary including in the entrance courtyard. The rooms are standard for a Japanese style hotel: tatami flooring with a small table and chairs by the large windows. There isn't much of a view but pleasant none the less. There are basic amenities in the room: a TV, coffee table with small floor chairs, and a sink. You are also provided with futons that you place out yourself and yukata to wear after having made use of the onsen/baths available. The food was decent, with both dinner and breakfast provided. On the days we were there, non Japanese cuisine was served. Other amenities provided include a kids play room, equipment to play badminton, tennis, table tennis and some family oriented games in the lobby. There's also wifi available but only in the lobby area. The staff were very helpful and friendly. They were able to help with providing information on the local area and were helpful in general. The only downside was the interior which could do with some repairs to windows, and such, and tidying of the rooms a little better. Overall it was a pleasant stay here, and I'd recommend...

こじんまりとした、落ち着いた雰囲気のホテルでした。施設は古い感じですが、洋風のステキな建物です。お部屋は、ホントに普通の八畳間。トイレが共有だったり布団の上げ下げがセルフだったりしますが、清潔だし、アメニティなど細かなサービスも最善を尽くしている印象で、贅沢さを求めなければ、むしろアットホームに寛げます^_^

ロビーやレストラン、女性の浴場は天井が高くて開放感があるので居心地がとてもいい。周りが森林に囲まれていて、窓には緑があふれています。館内はこぎれいで静かな音楽が流れていて、癒されました。

食事もわたしは大満足でした！夏野菜のオリーブオイル煮に手作りパン、スープ、おほうとうのカルボナーラ。これだけでもうお腹がいっぱいで満足、と思っていたら、その後にメインディッシュとデザートがでてきました(^^)その後、お代わり自由のコーヒーをゆっくりいただいて寛ぎました。

本格的なレストランの味わいを求めるのでなければ、全然『美味しい♪』と感じるお料理です。 親子三人、日常を離れてのんびり過ごす...

お盆豪雨の際、予約してしまったので宿泊しました。 生憎の雨でしたので仕方がないのかもしれませんが、駐車場に着いたら駐車場が水溜まり(冠水の状態)になっていました。ビックリしましたが、ホテルの従業員の方が外に出て対応されました。荷物も持ってくれまり、チェックイン後部屋へ案内もしてくれて対応は良かったです。 コスパは◎です。 従業員の対応も◎です。 お風呂は家族風呂をお願いしたのでそちらしかわかりませんが、フロントで予約します。1時間単位で区切られるので脱衣場に時計があると良いなと思いました。 夕食創作料理です。味は美味しいですが、ボリュームは少ないかもです。朝食は一般的なものです。

雨天時でも他の家族が屋根のあるところで花火をしていましたし、(フロントで200円で売っていました。)卓球台や将棋、オセロ、トランプなどホテルの中で遊ぶことはできます。 また、テニスコート等もあるようです。
