ペンションマリエ — Hotel in Yamanakako

My wife and I stayed here late March 2025. Not knowing what to expect of Japanese Pension accommodation, I was a bit apprehensive when making the booking. Having discovered it is the equivalent to a western B&B, I can highly recommend this establishment. The Pension is in a tranquil location on the surrounds of Lake Yamanaka. We didn’t make use of all the available facilities, such as the free to use bicycles, but found the included ‘Free Wi-Fi’ useful and reliable. Our room was comfortable with a private bathroom. The hosts were amazing. Our Japanese language skills are extremely limited and our Chinese even less. With Google Translate and the hosts limited English, all our needs were satisfied. Evening meals are BYO or order from a menu with meals prepared by a local restaurant and delivered. The owner will even assist you in preparing your BYO. We opted for the owner prepared breakfasts, and we were very glad that we did. A generous offering of Japan on a tray served at exactly the times we requested. All meals are served in a communal dining room. It was a homely space for guests to chat and discuss experiences. Our room had a kettle, but we found the hot tea prepared and placed in our room by the host upon our return each day was a welcome surprise and greatly appreciated. Booked last minute the night before. Great price and location. Low price was the main reason for booking. The shock and big surprise was the 11 out of 10 service and TLC I got from the owner Marie. I stayed in a room with its own bath shower toilet. Best customer careI have ever had even compared to a high end hotel for $200 a night. Yes you read that right. Something about these smaller hotels and the quality of service can't be matched. Very clean and very cute stay for exploring the Fuji mountain area. She speaks Chinese, Japanese and some English. And an amazing cook. Wow I was thankful I chose to eat at the hotel and not out somewhere else. My Bed was also very comfortable. Great sleep. It was More comfortable than the Disney Hilton Tokyo bay for $200 a night....

Alloggio - accogliente, molto ben tenuto, con tutto il necessario, in un luogo tranquillo pieno di natura e pieno di daini.

Gestori - molto gentili e disponibili, la signora gentilissima venuta a prenderci in stazione, visto la tarda ora ci ha lasciato il tempo per prenderci del cibo al 7/11 per poi accompagnarci al alloggio , il giorno dopo il marito si è fatto più di 30km!! per portarci alle cave.. lo stesso la sera ci ha dato uno strappo per prendere del cibo… Il giorno della partenza alle 4am ci ha portati a vedere questo splendido tramonto sul Fuji 🗻 per poi dopo accompagnarci alla fermata del bus

Insomma 10/10 per alloggio ❤️/10 per la coppia che lo gestisce Non è quantificabile :) davvero delle persone vere e con un grande cuore

住宿－舒適溫馨，維護良好，設施齊全，環境安靜，周圍環繞著大自然，鹿群隨處可見。

房東－非常友善，樂於助人。一位非常友善的女士在車站接我們，考慮到時間已晚，她給了我們時間去7-11便利商店買了些吃的，然後送我們去了住宿地。第二天，她先生開車30多公里送我們去採石場。晚上，他仍然載我們去買了些吃的。

我們離開那天凌晨4點，他帶我們去看了富士山壯麗的日落🗻，然後送我們去了公車站。

總而言之， 住宿10/10分。 ❤️10分給經營這家旅館的夫婦。 這種感覺難以言表 :) 他們是真正真誠的人，心胸寬廣。
