I don't usually write reviews about the hotels I've stayed in, but I feel that people deserve a warning about this place. ||||It's web page has plenty of photos showing clean, tidy rooms. They're not luxurious, but they look well tended. The reality is however, that this is more of a doss-house than a hotel. The place was absolutely filthy and had no running water. My room had not even been cleaned since the previous occupants had left. This can be seen by the bottles left around the room in the photos I'm uploading. ||||It was supposed to have a mini-bar in the room, which I was going to use to keep my bottles of water cold, but that was also absent. There was a non-operational air conditioner hanging out of the bedroom window in such a way that the window couldn't be closed.||||The bathroom was so dirty that I really didn't like going in there. They hadn't even flushed the toilet after the previous occupant - if you get my drift!! When I complained about the room and the lack of water, I was moved to a different room. This was barely any better. The only differences were the existence of a sad, little trickle of water from the shower and lo-and-behold, the room had a minibar.... unfortunately, the minibar didn't have a plug! ||||On booking this hotel, I selected the 2 dinars per day for breakfast option. But guess what? It doesn't have any breakfasts - or even a room to have breakfast in! And they still tried to charge me for the breakfasts I didn't have! ||||All in all, this place seemed to be less a hotel and more of place which takes the money from poor families who were in Amman for Ramadan and couldn't afford anywhere else. In fact, it was because of my trip being in the middle of Ramadan that I was unable to find another room within my price range and was stuck in this dump for 3 nights. And that is the whole basis of this report - to warn other people about the sheer filth and lack of any kind of service they will experience by staying here. Be kind to yourselves...
Read moreI recently had the pleasure of staying at the Nishan Hotel, and I was thoroughly impressed by their meticulous attention to detail and exceptional service. Despite being rated as a 2-star hotel, Nishan offers an experience that far surpasses its official rating.
From the moment I checked in, the cleanliness of the hotel was evident. The rooms were serviced daily with fresh bed linde, towels, and a replenishment of toiletries including shampoo, body lotion, and shower gel. Even the loofahs were replaced daily, a testament to their commitment to guest comfort and hygiene.
What stood out was the branding consistency; everything from the cups and saucers to the plastic coverings featured the hotel’s logo, enhancing the overall aesthetic and feel of the rooms.
The dining experience was equally commendable. The buffet offered a variety of delicious options that catered to all tastes, maintaining a standard of quality that one might expect from higher-rated establishments.
The staff at Nishan Hotel were consistently friendly and professional, with uniforms designated for different roles within the hotel, adding to the streamlined and efficient atmosphere.
It is apparent that the hotel has undergone a recent refurbishment, which is reflected in the modern decor and updated facilities. It’s clear that Nishan Hotel is dedicated to providing a superior guest experience, making it much more than just a 2-star hotel.
For anyone considering a stay in the area, I cannot recommend Nishan Hotel enough. It truly is a hidden gem that offers exceptional value and a...
Read moreWell, it's a cheap hotel and you can not expect much from the low-end amenities and comodities it announces, we had already assumed this when we made the booking for two nights. But once we arrived to the hotel we realized it was much worse than expected, the room was really dirty, the sofa and the blankets had lots of brown stains that resembled dried blood. The first night was charged before our arrival and the manager charged the second night as soon as we arrived so we couldn't leave without loosing all the money. On the top of all this, they said they had a valet for parking our car, which we had already parked on the front of the hotel. The manager insisted violently on having our car keys and parking the car again, we were suspicious but he left us no option. The morning we left we found that they had stolen the fuel from our car, leaving it with just the reserve. Evidently we called the police and filed a complaint but they did very little and we were risking to lose our plane so we left. Hope it discourage everyone to make a booking on this so...
