فندق هوليدي العقبه — Hotel in Aqaba

About 2 months before I traveled to Aqaba I booked via booking.com the King room for one night. I wrote to the hotel I will arrive late at night by flight which land at 1.00AM, asked them about to send taxi for me. Got answer that I can take taxi from the airport to the hotel. So the hotel knew very well that I arrive late.||When I arrived they said to me that my room is not free and that I could stay in shared room with shared bathroom which I denied, of course.||It was terrible, Imagine coming to the hotel early in the morning where you had your booking confirmed and found out that there is no room for you. How can you look for another hotel so late at night? I left the hotel anyway and resolved my situation but to bed I first came at 5.00AM.||Although I also had trouble finding taxis and so expensive it was also due to night extensions of course. So thanks to the hotel's unreliability, I got rid of 40JD directly even though I thought the hotel itself would account for my extra expenses. But no, of course, they haven't offered either.||So don't trust that you get the room...

Looks OK on the surface when checking in but bed sheets were unclean, many strands of hair and small bits of dirt. The other bed still had the mattress in the plastic wrap when it's bought. Everyone can make mistakes so I asked for new sheets and for the plastic to be removed. We then went upstairs to give the person time to do his job without us in the room getting in the way.||||After we come back down 15 mins later, we find that the plastic sheet is removed but the bed isn't remade, and the other bed with hair and dirt has not been changed. Waited 40 more minutes thinking he will come back with new sheets, but finally go back to reception. He is on the phone to a friend and I get his attention to ask about the linen. He says no more clean sheet but he gave a wipe with his hands so it's OK. Pictures attached are AFTER he wiped it with his hand... ||||Terrible. Friend stayed at the serenity hotel literally across the road, same price, infinitely better.||||Slept fully clothed, on top of the covers. 2 stars because at least the AC works and there's a fridge. WiFi...

Location is good, however being in the heart of town, a lot of noise can be heard throughout the night. Ear plugs are helpful. Plenty of free parking outside. Staff are very friendly. The shower in the room has no pressure at all, does have very hot water though. You must ask for towels when checking in. No toilet paper is provided. The wireless signal did not reach into the room. The bed was very comfortable. The air conditioning unit was placed facing the front on the bed, blowing air directly...
