Harry's Kisumu Oasis — Hotel in City of Kisumu

I enjoyed Harry's so much. To start it's pricing is quite fair for it's location, tucked away at the end of a Culdesac in a quiet upmarket area of Milimani Kisumu, not too far say 2km from the Central Business District. The plot feels like 1/2acre and features just 2 straightforward midsized bungalows, one a spacious fully furnished 3bedroom family house and a modified servants quarters comprising 3 standard hotel rooms in total. This gives the place an extremely spacious atmosphere and privacy with a max of 5 neighbours at any point. The main house lounge opens up to a massive veranda and lush green garden conjuring up images of family getaways with kids running around, lazy nyamachoma and beer with lots of Rhumba, laughter and bonding. I twice stayed in one of the 3 "hotel" rooms which are cute, compact to say the least and are ideally sized for the business minded visitor. Their bathrooms are surprisingly well done and appointed for a facility of this price range. Harry's is so refreshingly clean and well serviced. The beddings are at par with many 5star facilities I have visited both locally and abroad. I just wish Harry would finish up the improvements/repairs and install the much needed televisions in the rooms because I intend to make it my preferred stopover in Kisumu and plan to do longer stays. From the moment I arrived at Harry's Guest House, I was impressed by the warm welcome I received from the staff. They were attentive to my needs and went out of their way to make sure that I was comfortable and had everything I needed during my stay.

The rooms at Harry's Guest House were clean and spacious, with comfortable beds and all the amenities I needed to feel at home. I especially appreciated the attention to detail, with little touches like fresh flowers in the room and high-quality toiletries in the bathroom.

What really stood out to me, however, was the exceptional hospitality that I received during my stay. The staff at Harry's Guest House were always available to answer my questions and provide recommendations for things to do in the area. They even went above and beyond by helping me plan a surprise birthday celebration for my partner, which was a huge success.

We staying here 7 days, after we prolonged for 6 days. We talked double bedroom with shower. Good location, between Hippo point and city centre. We walked to the Victoria lake to see picturesque sunset views, it takes 15 minutes. Also 15 minutes to supermarket: Shandarana food plus, Naivas and Carrefour by walking. Friendly stuff and hospitable host who helped to solve the nuances. it is a basic accommodation but all the needs are there, especially in the kitchen: microwave, oven, large fridge and lots of utensils. large living room with sofas for relaxation and remote work. spacious dining area with a large table and chairs, for a minimum of 6 people. parking and garden are not finished yet, the owner said that he will make improvements on the site. but we really liked it, because we saw a lot of colorful birds and even Eagles!!! It was nice to watch them in the morning and listen to the singing) it's more interesting than the TV, which was also there, but we didn't use it.
