Millsview Hotel in Kisumu — Hotel in City of Kisumu

This hotel is located in Milimani estate. I wanted to review this place because I enjoyed my stay there and there are no reviews yet. Its a quiet place , its a walking distance from Megacity and Impala Santuary. If you walk outside the gate you can get a Tuktuk or Bodaboda to any place.The rooms are spacious but the bathroom was small and shower. Shower had low pressure and took time for me to figure out how to turn on hot water. It made me miss my home shower. The swimming pool is small. The front office staff were dull, and i had to ask for a towel three times from three different customer service staff when I went for a swim. They forgot to charge me for toothpaste of kshs 200 and ended up calling me more than ten times. I was in a bus with no money on Mpesa but they kept calling me I picked twice and told them i will send the money. The location of the hotel is good. Not far away from the CBD. Easily accessible. The conference facility we were put in was at most shocking. Terrible room, poor lighting, I literally had to beg for projector. The lunch was bad with little choices to pick from. I had visited the same facility 1.5yrs ago and I think it has really spiraled down over the years. The WIFI connection was so bad that it was shocking. In this age, how do we operate with poor Wi-Fi connection. Couldn't work in my room as the Wi-Fi was non existence. All the calls to the reception to have this sorted was just a waste of time. Bernard at the front desk was fantastic—so welcoming and helpful, even though we arrived late.
