Lake Naivasha Lazarus Lodge — Hotel in Hells Gate ward

Very clean rooms, very clean bed sheets and towels, very safe hotel. They did not ask for the credit card details, excellent reception staff, always smiling Irene and Winnie were very helpful. We have stayed here for three days during Christmas, they do not have a bar but the food in the restaurant is very good. The staff were very polite and helpful. There were no kettle in the room for making tea, but we were provided with flask with hot water with tea coffee pouches. Bath has instant geyser but good hot water. Excellent bed and we had quality sleep. The hotel is 500 meter from the lake, and there is no direct access from the hotel. They have ample car parking and surprisingly, we found our car was cleaned every morning without asking for any money. It is very safe place to stay, just 200 meter...

One downfall - There isn't much around the hotel within walking distance, so you need to eat at the hotel. For Western standards, lunch and dinner service was extremely slow. We were the only customers at lunch and it still took almost 2 hours to get our food. At dinner, there was only one other table, and it took us nearly 3 hours to get our food (at the 60min mark, we just had our cold drinks).

I'm sure it's because they make everything from scratch to order. But we were tired and not acclimated to service this slow at an every-day average quality restaurant.
