If you are on a budget trip and expect nothing luxury, just want a simple stay, this is already perfect!||It was my first time traveling solo and it's for a month. Chosen Sabah as my destination and I did not do any bookings. Once alighted from the airport, I pick up a brochure with map, google for nearby dorms and saw Borneo Beachouse. Still, I didn't book it online. Decided to walk-in. So I call to check if there is a bed available for me and yes it is. And staff says it's a walking distance and the map does show that it's very near. I chose to walk with my 17kg bag.||||But I purposely stop by a taxi driver just to check the price they charge for a short distance like that and they quote rm25. I was like wow. For a short distance? No way. So off I go. As you exit the airport, turn right, cross over and walk all the way till you see a lane to turn left, and continue walking. That's the shortcut. I didn't wanna take the risk so I walk all the way straight passing by the field and turn left at the traffic light. The sunset sky was beautiful. Love it.||||Pass by the Perdana Park which is on the right and after crossing a lane, that's where you'll come out if you use the shortcut route, cross over and pass by a cafe called, 'Table No.1' a white building and you'll see 'Borneo Beachouse' on the left. Staff are friendly, especially when they learn that I walk all the way with that load. Rooms are very affordable.||||Stayed here for almost 3 weeks and the staff has been awesome. At that time there were 4 interns from Philippines, 2 local full-time staff. All were extremely helpful, friendly, accommodating and hardworking. I really feel at home and have no problems getting around. If you need to know more on how to get around using public, check it out on my blog soon.||||The beach is just a 5mins walk. You can grab some bbq corns or chicken wings as you watch the sunset. Lovely. Blessed.||||Overall stay was really awesome. Able to cook, great showers, but I hope they fixed the spoilt heater. And thanks to the boss who help me on my last day. It...

Read moreAt first I was in the female dorm where the whole house only have 5 people staying in. Well the price is very attractive so I book it straight away. Location is pretty good, walking distance to the beach and also further up is the Sunset Bar in Shangri-la, the sunset view there is awesome!! ||I checked in around 4pm, and straightaway head to the bar to the magnificient view. Back into the dorm and unwind my day, it was alright. Kitchen is very simple, bathroom (near the dorm) is the very old style bathroom. ||The night is pretty quite as it was weekday, however there is various TV channel in the common room so I can spend my evening there.||Dorm is pretty old so there are quite some mosquito, you ask for the scent to repel but it will be better if you are bringing mosquito repellent.||I stayed in the double bed the next day, environment is much more better. Go for it if you are no problem with the budget. Kitchen and bathroom in the front house is better. ||Overall host is very helpful, they are very familiar with the places. ||Laundry is available, very well organised.||Transport is convenient, taking cab from the city centre to here is RM30 (you can negotiate for better price!!)||What I like the most is the distance to airport, well if you are travelling light you can even walk there too!||Opting for luxury stay? not here.||Very particular on the bathroom? Hmm not here too.||budget and simple stay? Definitely yes.||A drop by before...
