We were here for an extended stay while my partner did his overseas placement at Kuching Hospital. ||||Highlights - VERY close to the hospital, literally 3 minutes walk. The hawker stalls under the hotel are amazing, very cheap, huge variety and very delicious. Most of the hospital staff come here for breakfast and lunch. They are not open for dinner however, so you'll need to go elsewhere for that. ||||Lowlights - Unfortunately the features of the hotel itself are not so great. The price is relatively high for what you get (Kuching standards), you are basically paying for convenience of the location next to the hospital. You can pay the same price and get a lot nicer accommodation elsewhere. The rooms are not very clean, bathrooms mouldy, always running out of hot water. The beds are reasonably comfortable (I like firm beds) but the worst part of the rooms would be the pillows. Obviously Kuching is very humid, and people tend to sweat a lot at night, and as a result the pillows have the most unbelievably revolting stench of 100s of stale sweaty scalps that completely penetrate through the pillowcase, and stop you from sleeping because it is so nauseating. They also have little ants crawling on the walls and the bed, some even bit me. The 'wifi' is basically non-existent - they have about 10 different routers but all of them are so slow they pretty much don't work. Some of the aircon units need servicing and they blow cold drops of water on you.||||In summary - only stay here if you need to be close to the hospital, there is absolutely nothing else to do in the area within walking distance, unless you really like walking...
Read moreI was there on 15th of October 2016 and planed stay up to 17th of October 2016. I was shocked because the lady at the counter which is hotel person-in-charge SHOUTED at me for not dropping the room key while going out for food. ||||She in a very rude manner instruct me return the room key and not allowed to switch on the air conditioner while leaving the room. Feeling that the hotel person in charge not respect to the customer at all. ||||The customer pay for the room and it is up to customer how to utilize all the facilities given including switch on the air conditioner to cool up the room before enter. Non of the hotel in Kuching put such rule not allowing customer switch on the air conditioner while not in the room.||||The cleanness of the room also not in acceptable level with smelly bed sheet and pillow.||||I leave the hotel immediately after the incident and will not recommend anyone to stay...
