Hotel O Hotel Oriental — Hotel in Borneo

I stayed here with a friend before my flight back to the Philippines and boy I had the worst time. The hotel is too hidden. Literally at the back of warehouses! The parking was too small and my friend had a hard time finding a good spot. Its a rundown old hotel and OYO took over to give it a more "modern" feel. There were no complimentary water or even toiletries. Only towels. No telephone inside the room to contact the front desk. No lift. You need to get ready for the stairs. You also need to pay the tourist tax if you are a foreigner but luckily my friend is Malaysian so its under his name. You get what you pay for. If you are on a tight budget and just want to sleep the night out you can just pick this one. You just have to really find it in the busy city and if you are not familiar, try Waze or Google maps. I travelled from KL late and stayed here for one night. The staff at counter was very kind, I forgot to ask for his name. But he helped to lift my luggage into my room, when I checkout the next day and even into the boot of my booked Grabcar🥹 Im a lady, travelling alone with 1 small luggage + tote bag (14kgs combined) and 1 medium luggage (weight 23kgs). I felt bad asking for help so I tried to be independent carrying stuffs alone but mostly, he did the work for me (without me having to ask).
