This hotel is still very new so the amenities are all working great. I hope it will not be stricken with the Malaysian malaise of things breaking down after two years. The corridors are narrow and the room is small but with a very comfortable solid bed. There is a soft ambiance about the room but since the room is not for hanging around it does not really matter, but still worth mentioning. There is free wifi in the room with the usual coffee and tea complimentary from the hotel. The hot shower works perfect and so does the air-condition. If you are a photographer, you would like the idea that the local market is just in front across the road. Wake up early to shoot the fishermen bringing in their catch and displaying them for buyers by the pier behind the market. The location is great if you want to look for local day tours or a guided tour into the Kinabatangan River. Restaurants are a plenty around this hotel. Hotel itself is comfortable and semi-clean, bathrooms need a little self care and deep clean and unfortunately we had issues with the toilet not flushing on 2x mornings. Tv works but only one English Channel, but you are in Malaysia so I guess to be expected 🤷🏽♀️
Staff need to be a little more friendly on reception, personally found them quite miserable 😔 but kindly did let us use their fridge to store soy milk and water. Free drinking water is a bonus.
Good for the price you pay but not sure id return...

The staff are friendly and welcoming, the cleaners do a great job keeping the rooms, buildings and outside the building clean, also giving me extra coffee when I run out. There’s a day and night time market here just across the road, plenty of restaurants, atm etc but the reason I choose this exact location is because there is a Laundromat next door which was an essential lifesaver for washing, drying my clothes, backpacks after getting soaking wet in the rainforest etc. the restaurant next door is pretty damn...
