The cheapest dorm you can find on booking.com aren't in rooms but in the lounge/lobby/main walkway. You hear everything from in and out, you see everyone going in and out, you smell everything coming out the kitchen. The Queen sized room is small for 2 person with luggage. Toilet bowl looks dirty. Mattress is uneven and old. The blankets are tiny and uncomfortable. No wifi nor fan/AC. If you want privacy or quiet place to rest before or after hiking the mountain, pay more for one along the highway or skip to the next town: Ranau. Despite its fault, it is the only budget option in Kundasang.
