ROOMS Tawau — Hotel in Borneo

Stayed here for work trip. Staff: from front desk staff, hsekeeping & the security guard pakcik r friendly & helpful, always smiling. There is a lift as well compared to other boutique hotels that only has stairs, so its not only convenient for those with heavy luggages but also for senior citizens. Room: stayed at superior king room. Spacious, clean, drinking water provided via recyclable glass bottle which is refillable via a water dispensing machine in d lobby, aircon s super strong which is a good thing, water pressure not an issue and hot shower available at all times. Not many choices of tv channels availble though. And i wished there was a mini fridge in the room. Nxt door is a cafe called The Pantry which serves superb coffees! If u are a hotel guest, just show the cafe staff ur room key card and u get 15% off food & drinks (except scones & brownies). Location wise it is not in the main city area, abt 10-15km away. But it is located in Kubota Square which is full of restaurants, bars, cafes, 7eleven, watson (nxt door) and even hair salons and stationary store. All in all it was a...

As the flight schedule, we need to stay in Tawau over night before we head forward and come back to / from Sipidan. We have an experienced to stay in Tawau few years ago but it is not any good memory for the old town area. We found that "Rooms" hotel is the best choice for us. They are in the new area and everything you need just within by walk. There have some good restaurants just in front of the hotel. And the 7-11 just around 50 meters away. Beside the hotel, there have a big "watsons" store, it is really convenience to but the daily necessities. We love our stay and the rooms are so clean and quiet, everything is perfect for us. Thank you to all of the staff in Rooms hotel, they are so friendly. This hotel is located right at the center of one of the better hang-out areas of Tawau.. |This budget hotel is superb in its own way, given its affordability.|Although it’s a budget hotel, yet its design and cozi-ness is on par with “boutique hotel” standards. |- Very clean toilets, perfect water pressure ; fair toilet amenities provided.|- Clean bed sheets, cozy room lighting, sufficient room space for big bags. |- Free wifi with fair internet speed. |- Staff were friendly and helpful.|- Surrounding the hotel has very complete amenities : food, cafes, banks, convenient stores, pharmacy,...etc. Very convenient location, lots of variety a good food! |- There is a huge yummy-licious seafood restaurant (Kam Ling) located within walking distance. |Will definitely come back here again shld i visit...
