VISTA HOTEL — Hotel in Borneo

New hotel at Kubota area, plus point is easy accessible to aesthetic restaurants, hipster cafes, bubble tea, and even cinema nearby.

BUT, there're A LOT of room for improvement in terms of service. I arrived at the premises before 1pm, I understand that check in time is 2pm, so I left and came back. Unfortunately my room wasn't ready until 235pm.

There's an aristo coffee machine in the room, however during the first day of my stay, there is no capsule provided. The next day morning I informed the front desk staff that I DO NOT require housekeeping service, just change fresh towel for me. Obviously the message didn't communicate properly. It's okay that my room is cleaned. But the housekeeper threw away my (sample size) skin care, which I intended to continue using during my stay. Sigh

The room was small, I stayed in the king size room. For the same price, we can get much more space in the nearby hotel, eg Rooms / SVOK (no lift).

Speaking of the 'high-tech' lift, it's slow. I get impatient waiting for it. And it broke down (or not in use due to maintenance) several times during my stay.

During my checkout, I realized there's wrong details on my hotel invoice. Front desk officer claimed that they can't amend it on the spot. They will do it and WhatsApp it to me. However, only at the FORTH attempt, they got everything right on my...

Nestled away at a nice location, this hotel proved to be a delightful escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. The overall experience was quite memorable, with its tranquility, cleanliness, and courteous staff leaving a positive impression. Moreover, the hotel's commitment to cleanliness was commendable. From the spotless lobby to the immaculate rooms, it was evident that the housekeeping team was dedicated to maintaining a high standard of cleanliness throughout the property. This attention to detail contributed to the overall comfort and enjoyment of our stay. The staff at this were undeniably the heart of the establishment. Their warm and friendly demeanor made us feel welcome and valued from the moment we stepped foot in the hotel. Whether it was the front desk, restaurant staff, or housekeeping, each team member went above and beyond to ensure our needs were met with a smile. However, it's worth mentioning that the one drawback of our stay was the room size. While comfortable and well-appointed, the room felt a bit snug, especially for those who prefer more space to move around freely. It might not be a deal-breaker for short stays, but for longer trips, it could be something...

Room was nice, clean and comfortable, not spacious but enough for our family of 4. Coffee machine with 2 capsules, 2 water bottles as well as two 3-in-1 instant coffee were provided as well. Besides that, water dispenser was provided at the ground floor in case you need extra water for drinking.

There was a small elevator available to go to other floors (highest is 2nd floor), it was a unique experience for us but it was moving slowly thus some patience is required.

The toilet was clean with shower area and most importantly bidet was available with optional use of toilet paper.

Another plus point for this hotel is the location which is nearby restaurants and grocery store. Ample parking spaces were also available and the staffs were friendly as well.

Overall experience during our stay was excellent and will definitely come to this hotal again...
