Info:||Stayed for 1 night in their basic room.||||Pros:||- The price is considerably reasonable for the type of room provided.||- Great lighting in the room, okay environment.||- Staffs provided considerably alright services despite some lack of confident.||- Nearby tourist attractions.||- Free WiFi, stable TV connections and water supply.||- Reasonable amount of pillows provided.||- Hotel only provide toiletries like towels, cotton buds, shower caps and sanitary pads disposable bags. Electric kettles, safe lock, refrigerator and cups are provided.||||Cons:||- The area when you reach the basic rooms floor (Level 1) is scary, spooky and uncomfortable.||- The noise reduction of their room is TERRIBLE. Everyone could hear the sound of the lift reaching a specific floor. Noises can be heard from the neighbour room or when somebody walking pass your room if they are being inconsiderate with their volume.||- No policy or strong action taken on neighbouring room customers that bother the slumber of other customers despite the complain made to the receptionist. ||||My experience:||Made a first complaint to the receptionist around 7pm before I went for dinner as my neighbour room were playing very loud Indian/Hindi music and having some sort of party. The receptionist hesitated to call the room at first until I insisted her to called them to reduce their volume.||Once I came back around 11pm, there were no longer any party music going on and I soon slept around 12am. I was then woke up around 1am by loud talking & laughing outside my room and party music from the neighbouring room. These inconsiderate actions carried on till 4am where I decided to made a call to the receptionist to made a serious complain. The receptionist knew about this issue all along but did not take any action at all. He did not want to make any action until I insisted and even teach him what to do. He said he will called the room but the noise continued on till 7am.||I truly recommended the hotel authorities to include a policy that no loud noises after 12am in order to provide pleasure to other customers. The hotel authorities should also provide additional training to their receptionist to boost their confident and know what to do when a customer make...
Read moreIt was an ok experience. But if I go to Penang, I think I'll try another place. I thought it's a 3-star hotel, but it was more like a motel. They provided free parking behind the accommodation. The breakfast experience was confusing for me since the staff didn't explain hw or what time is the breakfast when we did check-in. They seemed to be short-staffed (only 1 in the reception desk), and when it was bf time, she was also the one who cooked (the meals was good actually. For Muslims, please do confirm for halal food. Just to be safe). It turned out that we need to choose from the menu & she'll cook it for us. So be mindful of the waiting time. I thought it's gonna be a buffet or ready-meals (e.g., instant noodles or toasted bread, etc). Another thing, there's no toiletries. So make sure to bring your own. Only soap liquid provided & towel were provided. Good thing that they had kibla sign, so it's easy to pray. But the room is quite small so need to be smart if we want to do jamaah with 1 other person. Oh ya, at that time, the wifi was available but not working.
Location is good, there's a 7-eleven close by and the temple is also can be seen from the accommodation.
Friendly & helpful staff at the reception. But the hotel management, overall, needs to improve more professionally.
Cleanliness needs to be improved. The bathroom hanger for towels were dusty😃 And the outside trash bin seemed to be unmanaged for a while since when we came, there was bad odour coming out from it (most probably left-over foods). Even until the next day, it's still there till we...
Read moreEverything was great until the night we came back at 11pm, we noticed the car park entrance was locked. My father asked the person on duty at the reception, who was a bald guy with glasses, if he could unlock and let us park. He came out to scold me - why i did not ask the reception properly when i checked in, else i should have known that there was a car park at the back. He scolded me further that "this car park is shared with the neighborhood, you cannot just park where you want". When we checked in, the reception told us to park at the car park just next to the hotel entrance, how the hell could we know that there was another car park at the back? My family and i were shocked by this very rude attitude. He could have explained us in a polite manner, but he just scolded us as if we were the trouble makers who did not follow the rules. We just needed to park our car and he could have just showed us the way, but he chose to scold us for 3 minutes before telling us where to park. Anyway, the hotel location is great, close to hawker centre and kek lok si. Rooms look a bit old but still acceptable. Quite clean. Everything is actually not bad, except for the crazy guy with...
