Me and friends had a small get away trip which was finally out from the group chat lol. The hotel reception Ms.Daishu was super helpful and really knowledgeable about what she is assisting the guests. We are thankful the checking was a smooth process. Having an employee like Ms.Daishu with this standard will always be the face of the hotel and she has been wonderful on it. Keep the shinning star. Room was pretty good, it was cleaned and most important it looks exactly like the picture. However the only flop sided was the bathroom glass. I personally will suggest to have bath curtains so it will be a little private for small family/friends stay. Plus I will also suggest a lock socket inside from the bathroom. We had to switch all the lights off and switch on the TV inorder to take shower as we are a group of mixed gender friends. Highly recommended these 2 things. I hope you guys can make it happen as I can see the hotel having plenty of guests coming and profits by that. Thank you for the wonderful stay Kingston and keep on giving the BEST service Ms.Daishu. I will definitely suggest this stay to my friends and family. Will come back again for this super duper comfortable stay.

The counter staffs are very helpful and friendly. The room was clean and well-maintained, but the TV ' network some problem. Although the hotel was renamed " KINGSTON ", everyone entered the parking lot, not sure if they entered the right hotel. Because there is no " KINGSTON " sign I wish to share my experience :- When I entered the room I found that there was no drinking water, so I called the service desk and she said drinking water was provided and she asked someone to provide me with water. Later, I found out that there was no soap. I don't want to bother with the service desk. When I left the room the next morning, I met a cleaner. I told him that he didn't need to clean my room, but just changed the towel, to provide drinking water, shampoo, etc. After that, he still did not provide soap. I asked him why the soap dish doesn't have soap. Then he went out to bring soap and put it on the soap dish. If all hotel tenants don’t ask for it ??? BEST PLACE TO STAY AND HEALING

Here’s the English translation: --- Since my business trip workplace was nearby, I chose this hotel. It’s affordable and conveniently located. The front desk staff were all excellent. The two staff members who left the deepest impression on me were always patient in answering questions and offering help (for example, when my hands were full, they would help press the elevator buttons and ask for my room number to select the right floor. When I needed to hand over my room card to my colleague who was returning from work outside, the staff kindly helped to pass it along). One was a young lady with long straight hair I met in the morning — if I remember correctly, her name is Ina. The other was a slim young man with short hair and glasses whom I met around 11 p.m. I really like this hotel and will continue to support it. I hope that not only will it maintain its standards, but also keep improving. Keep it up!

Strategic Location with Quirks: A Review of Deview Hotel Location (5/5): This hotel shines with its convenient location. Nestled near Kek Lok Si Temple, it offers easy access to this iconic landmark. Plus, George Town, the heart of Penang's cultural scene, is just a short drive away. Most tourist destinations are within a 15-30 minute car ride, making it a great base for exploring the city. On-site parking is a big plus for travelers with their own vehicles.Service (3/5): The hotel utilizes self-service check-in and check-out kiosks. While this can streamline the process, it creates a more impersonal experience. Staff interaction is limited, making it difficult to gauge overall service quality.Breakfast (4/5): The breakfast spread was a pleasant surprise – a nice selection of dishes to start your day. While there was a minor blip with one fly (perhaps an unavoidable occasional visitor in a tropical climate), the overall quality of the breakfast was good.Room (3.5/5): The room itself was spacious and thoughtfully designed. However, soundproofing proved to be a major downside. Being on the second floor, I was unfortunately privy to noises from the street, like arguments, and even disturbances from neighboring rooms. This could be a deal-breaker for light sleepers. If you prioritize a quiet stay, consider requesting a higher floor or a room away from potential noise sources. On the positive side, the room was well-equipped with amenities, and the design had a nice aesthetic. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to take a picture of the room to showcase its design.Overall: This hotel offers a strategic location and comfortable rooms, but the lack of soundproofing and limited service interaction might be a concern for...

Location is fairly out of the way from Georgetown. Good for those wanting a more quiet stay. The hotel had a lot to improve on. Pros: The room was fairly clean since it was recently renovated, and the air con took a while to start up, but was cold. The bathroom heater was good, and the water was hot. There was free water from a dispenser in the lobby. Cons: Despite smelling clean - like they had been bleached - the towels had some black stains, and even after requesting a replacement, the new towels were still stained. Our room sink was partly blocked as it would fill up very fast and take a long time to drain. Meanwhile, the toilet had a constant bad smell from the sewers coming up the drains. Even leaving the ventilation fan on didn't help. The room itself was quite bright due to the light from the air con and from outside the hallway. Not too great for sensitive sleepers. Hotel housekeeping staff also need some training as two of the male staff insisted on fitting themselves AND two carts into the lift together with me and my partner. I understand that only one lift was working and would rarely be empty, but I was practically forced into a tiny corner between the two carts. I also experienced another moment where a contractor/staff member cut the guests to enter the lift first with a trolley in hand. One working lift is not enough as it was constantly full during peak time. Lastly, upon checkout we found out that some rooms had water bottles provided in the rooms, while...

I recently stayed at this hotel and overall, I had a pleasant experience. The location is fantastic, with numerous local food options nearby and the Kek Lok Si Temple just a short distance away. The rooms were spacious, clean, and hygienic, which made for a comfortable stay. However, I did encounter an issue with the front desk staff. Although the official check-in time is at 3 PM, we arrived a bit earlier and politely inquired about the possibility of checking in sooner. The response we received from the front desk was not as friendly as expected. She simply said "wait a minute" and did not inform us whether we could check in. After we asked again, she asked for our names, prepared the information and room cards, and then said, "We check in at 3 o'clock here, and you can only check in when the room is ready." However, she had already prepared the room cards, so I asked if we could check in now. She just replied, "Yes." Throughout the entire interaction, her demeanor was quite unprofessional, with a sullen expression and a dismissive attitude. It would have been much appreciated if the staff had been more communicative and polite throughout this process. A more courteous approach in handling early check-ins and clear communication could greatly enhance the guest experience.I hope this feedback helps in improving the service, as the hotel itself is quite...
