Ayer Itam Night Market — Local services in George Town

Had the curry mee at Air Itam Market Food Court and it really hit the spot! 😋 The stall is run by an old aunty who cooks everything fresh upon order. I got the big bowl for RM7 came with plenty of sides like tofu puffs, cockles, and cuttlefish.

The broth was creamy, fragrant, and you can even request your spice level. It had that comforting, homemade taste , much better than the usual commercial-style versions. Portion was generous and definitely worth the price. I’ll definitely return for this again , truly a hidden gem!

Also ordered the mee goreng from another stall for RM6. It was decent nothing outstanding, but okay if you’re looking for something simple...

Great food court (street food style) with exceptional dishes. We had the seafood noodles from two lovely aunties,a traditional fruit dessert and a rice dish with a curry.

At the chamomile tea booth, a very lovely lady serves in second generation the best hot and cold tea around. We are happy we were offered the chance to try.

Even we arrived late, everyone was exceptionally friendly to us and we enjoyed our visit very much. Besides filling our empty balleys with some local delicacies, we had the opportunity to learn about culture, perspectives and tradition. Thank you again!
