M Season Boutique Hotel — Hotel in Kedah

For the room rate, I wasn't expecting anything but a clean new hotel that hopefully will let me have a good rest. From experience, new hotel are usually clean hotel and room furnishing is still intact.||||The moment we step into the lobby, I was surprised and glad to find a lift! Not many shop lot converted hotel have the luxury of space for a lift, but apparently this hotel is generous to install one, a brand new lift instead of a cheapo 2nd hand lift. There are also 2 pc available for guest to use it for free in the lobby. The staff are friendly and never fail to put up a smile while they point out a few spot to visit and dine in||||The room is spacious with 2 king size bed. Though there isn't a wardrobe, they provide good wooden hangar to my surprise. There is a tv with limited astro channel as well. The mattress and pillow are decently comfortable, surpassing many of their competitor. In addition, they do provide a bolster which is a quite rare and we love it. The hotel is situated beside a river (Sungai Petani?) and that's a lovely view in the morning. However the only windows in the room was locked and can't be opened to enjoy the fresh air.||||I wouldn't bother to try out other hotel in Sungai Petani as long as they upkeep the hotel is...

Stay at the hotel on 26th August 2023 Book a twin King size room. Warning, stay at your own risk. Staff ( not sure whether they suck at their work or bored with it ). No greeting, nothing. Its like they are mystified why still got people come staying in this hotel which i know why later. Room quite spacious, but comes with peeling paint on the side ( serious water damage ). There is a hole in the ceiling of the bathroom also due to water leaking damage. Still able to accept it, as double king size beds and shower was comfortable. The limit was when the aircon suddenly off in the middle of the night, went to inform the front desk and she say ' There is nothing i can do, no maintenance guy now.' Its like accept it and go away as not disturb her watching her phone. I check out the room at 5am as it was hot and stuffy. There was no sorry, no room change, no compensation.

Sungai Petani is a small town. Within 30 minutes you get to your destination. This hotel is located at the end of a one-way street. Beside this hotel there is one 'ikan panggang' restaurant. We saw the crowd during lunch. There is one kopitiam at another end. A 24-hour convenient shop just right behind. ||This hotel has limited number of staff. One front desk personnel and one housekeeping guy. The rooms were clean. Air-con was working fine. Biggest setback was shower. The whole washroom turned wet once you shower. Kettle was provided. Complimentary bottled water provided. Another setback was wifi. Not working at all in the room. We paid apprx RM120 per room. ||Verdict: wifi is a MUST but guests not able to access. So you know...
