Seri Malaysia Sg. Petani is unfit for human occupancy... animals will not even stay here.||||RUN DOWN||This hotel is dilapidated (crumbling deteriorating, neglected, badly maintained) and should be closed for a total revamp to be fit for humans to stay.||||The root of the problem lies in the mismanagement of the hotel. A new and honest board of directors needs to take over the current team and weed out all the incapable managers.||||NO LIFTS||Paying guests, especially women with babies and old people risk their lives each time they climb up and down the stairs. There are NO LIFTS/ELEVATORS in this hotel.||||NO WI-FI||You'll need to stand outside your room to receive a single bar of reception. ||Their Wi-Fi routers are obsolete, and some have antennas missing. There is no IT staff on hand to fix any connectivity issues.||||NO CABLE TV CHANNELS||There are free to air (RTM) and home shopping channels only. The excuse given was that the hotel is situated too far away from the cable transmission station. Your kids will go mad with no entertainment.||||RIDICULOUSLY TINY BATHROOM||The bathroom is perfect if you are 3 years old or a midget. You will hit the walls each time you take a shower and try to turn your body. ||The entire floor gets wet and slippery because there is NO SHOWER CURTAIN. You will slip and break your neck if you are not careful.||||FILTHY JUG KETTLE||The jug kettle had dirty stains and was not cleaned for years. ||Can't comment on the condition of the window curtains or fridge because there weren't any!||||INSECTS AND MOSQUITOES||The door gaps allowed mosquitoes and other insects to enter the room. You have to block the gap with a bath towel.||||FILTHY AIR CON (A/C)||You risk respiratory issues with the dirty air conditioner which had disintegrated filters which had NEVER been cleaned.||||UNHEALTHY FOOD||There was a total disregard for nutrition. The meals had NO NUTRITIONAL VALUE and were overpriced for the quality of the food (or lack of quality). ||Cheap sausages and baked beans for breakfast, with portions so small even a child would go hungry. Some of the dishes were good - beef soup, fish curry and chicken rice.||||EXCELLENT STAFF||This group of well mannered and capable staff need to find employment somewhere better. They deserve a better working environment.||But some of them need further training. One staff told me to use the air conditioner to dry my hair because they did not have access to the storeroom where the hair dryers were kept.||||AMENITIES||Be sure to request for toilet rolls or tissues 2-3 days in advance. Yes, it takes that many days...||||SUMMARY||No paying guest in their right mind would even consider staying in this old and poorly maintained hotel.||||All of us had no choice as we were in state quarantine in this hotel and had to pay RM2,100 for 13 days of misery and suffering.||||Seri Malaysia Sg. Petani management:||Please close down your hotel and make it a habitable holiday resort it once was...
Read moreLast minute booked with this hotel seri Malaysia sungai petani because there was a problem checking in with the previously booked hotel. At first everything was okay with the good receptionist but I was a little surprised because the hotel doesn't have an elevator and my mother, who has knee problem and uses crutches, has to climb the stairs to get to the room. At night my mother and I slept as usual and suddenly my mother and I woke up at the same time because of many noises that disturbed us such as the wall of the room being kicked and the sound of very loud walking from 2.30 am until dawn. We tried to sleep but couldn't and we just had to be patient because we were very tired because we traveled far from Johor. Early in the morning we were ready to check out and have breakfast at the hotel cafe. It's also unfortunate when a very simple breakfast is provided with only fried rice and fried noodles without side dishes and only sausage side dishes are provided. Have to line up to eat toast. There is a lot that this hotel needs to improve. The hotel room looking so old. By the way, the room I...
