Langkawi Seaview Hotel — Hotel in Langkawi Island

DO NOT STAY HERE!! I very rarely have to write bad reviews but i dont want anyone else going through this experience.

Awful service, staff rude, a beach you can't swim at. No alcohol or smoking at hotel. No atmosphere and it's dirty, dated and expensive.

I booked a seaview room via trip.com and when we arrived at 2.30pm the staff at reception were very unwelcoming, which was really dissapointing. When I said we were looking forward to the seaview, they looked at me and laughed, I didnt get her name but she was quite frankly awful to deal with. She told me rooms hadn't been allocated yet (even though check in was in 30 mins time) then said if we wanted a seaview it would be an extra charge per night.

I showed her my booking, which clearly stated SEAVIEW and she just laughed and said no that isn't what is booked. I asked to speak to the manager and she told me he can't be interrupted by me, he was busy doing more important things!!

We stayed an hour, saw the state of the souless hotel and had to find somewhere else. We were made to feel so unwelcome!! Luckily Trip are issuing a refund for us.

The Hotel is nowhere near a beach you can swim at, the pool is in the basement and only has 3 sunloungers and is not in the sun. The only good thing about this hotel was the lovely man that helped with the luggage. I was absolutely gutted that we had to experience this on our first day in Langkawi. Note to the hotel manager....If you don't want western tourists at your hotel then don't advertise on booking sites or state that it is a dry hotel. The experience was that bad, that I struggled to press the one...

Let me begin by saying that the hotel looks presentable from the exterior. However, that will be all the praise that I will be giving for the experience I had.

My colleagues and I stayed here for the night last Thursday while on a business trip to Kuah. While I will not be quoting their experience, I will be listing my disatisfactions as best I could. First off, the hotel require us to place down a deposit in cash. While I understand the need for deposit, if not for my colleague who brought some cash with him, we would have required to drive out to find a nearby bank for a withdrawal.

While I had my doubts when I was reading the reviews for the hotel, I was hoping that our stay would be better than some of the other guests. However, when I entered the room, I was greeted by a room that is in need of repairs. Similarly, I was appalled by the washroom condition - other than the moldy walls, and shower glass, I have to deal with moldy toilet seats as well. Complete with the moldy odour. The questionable shower gels and shampoos are fastened on the wall by a suitably rusted apparatus as well.

When I was using the glass for a drink, i was greeted with dead insects at the bottom of the glass. Of course, when I decide to hit the sack, I was greeted by dead ants as well.

Needless to say, this will be my last time coming into this establishment. However, i can be picky with my accomodations especially when the washroom are not up to my level of cleanliness. I would advise other guests to stay clear as well, if they have the same...

We decided to stay here 4 our wedd anniversary 3d2n..we book a suite n allocated at room 919..a very nice room with spectacular view n very affordable price..it's very nice to wake up in morning n see sunrise n sunset on evening just from our balcony room or even when we lay down at the sofa bed n our bed itself with the ocean ,eagle square n pulau dayang bunting view n it's awesomeeeeeeee..very near to kuah jetty n eagle square. staff is friendly..a very simple basic hotel building from outside..simple reception area but this hotel provide all facilities u wanted..bfast buffet which is provide a simple variety but yet still okay, a gym and a cozy pool and they have in room dining service as well(the price is hell cheap)...they provide complete amenities as well such as toiletries, coffee n water with minibar..check in was smooth n quick same as check out as well...even the hotel is own by Chinese but they are Muslim friendly n what suprise me is they already provided 2 prayer Matt in the room even we forgot to ask upon check in n it was so great that you recognise your guest profile upon arrival..please do deliver my million thanks to the friendly staff esp the check in n check out staff,the bell boy as well who help deliver our luggage(sorry I didn't take their name)...not to forget to housekeeper who clean up our room during stay..thank you for a super comfy n great stay... definitely will recommend this...
