Our stay at St. Regis Langkawi was an exceptional five-star luxury experience, marked by outstanding service, beautiful surroundings, and thoughtful touches that elevated our visit. From the moment we arrived, the traditional gong ceremony rang out to welcome us, immediately setting the tone for an elegant and well-orchestrated stay. Upon check-in, we were greeted with a refreshing cold juice and a small treat, a nice detail that made us feel valued from the start.
✅ Andaman Sea View Room (Floor 6) – A Perfect Choice We initially stayed in the Andaman Sea View room on the top floor (floor 6), and it was excellent. The view was breathtaking, the room was spacious, and, most importantly, the bed was finally comfortable—something we had struggled to find in Malaysia. It made a world of difference in our sleep quality.
✅ Breakfast – One of the Best The breakfast experience at St. Regis was truly outstanding, offering a set menu for those who prefer an à la carte option instead of the buffet. Some highlights included: Truffle caviar scrambled eggs and steak and eggs (though the steak portion was only about 1 oz, so manage expectations). A Bloody Mary bar with infused vodka and a signature "Lang Mary" mix, though no mimosas were available. Delicious pastries and a good selection of fresh options. Outdoor seating—only four tables set for two, creating a quiet and peaceful dining atmosphere. ❌ The lobster omelet was not to our taste, though this is likely personal preference.
✅ Exclusive & Relaxing Atmosphere One of the most impressive aspects of the resort was that, despite being at peak capacity, it never felt overcrowded. Whether at the pool, the dining areas, or around the property, it maintained a sense of tranquility, which is rare in high-occupancy hotels.
✅ Champagne Sword Ceremony at 6 PM A signature St. Regis experience, the Champagne Sword Ceremony was a fun and elegant touch, adding to the overall luxury feel of the stay.
✅ Quick Service Recovery After reporting smoke smell to the front desk in our second room, they acted quickly and placed an air purifier in the room while we were out for lunch. By the time we returned, the smell had improved significantly, and their responsiveness was appreciated.
✅ Beautiful Grounds & Activities The property itself is well-maintained, and it was interesting to see how far the tide moved in and out. Since the immediate area isn’t walkable, we appreciated the walking path to The Westin, which was great for getting some steps in.
✅ Stunning Pool & Comfortable Loungers The main pool was absolutely beautiful, and the lounge chairs were some of the most comfortable we’ve experienced. It was easy to spend an entire day relaxing by the water without feeling the need to leave.
✅ Lobby & Gym The lobby was spacious and inviting, with a design that felt luxurious yet comfortable. The gym was on the smaller side but well-equipped—though it was never too busy, making it easy to get a workout in.
✅ Exceptional Staff & Service The staff at St. Regis Langkawi was consistently warm, professional, and attentive. Every interaction was met with genuine hospitality, which elevated the overall experience.
Final Thoughts St. Regis Langkawi delivers a true five-star luxury experience, combining world-class service, a stunning location, and exceptional dining. While our second room was a letdown, the quick service recovery, impeccable first room, and overall resort experience more than made up for it. If you’re looking for a peaceful and elegant escape in Langkawi, this is an...

St Regis Hotel was built about 10 years ago. There are total of 81 rooms, all suites with balcony, living room and bath tub. However, note that it is important to choose the Andaman sea facing view, as well as high floor for sea view. Lobby level is at level 3. The hotel is built and expanded on two sides. Level 1 is the ground floor to the beach, to Spa and swimming pool area. Level 2 looks to be less ideal for any view. Try to book a Sea view room. The main lobby has higher floors, which has a better sea view. So make sure you choose the right sea view, and not ‘partial sea view’ or ‘garden view’.
Restaurant: L’Orangerie - International all day dining, nice ambience. Gourmand Deli - fresh bakery, gear coffee Kayuputi - fine dining with sunset bar. Pantai Grill - seafood BBQ dining at the beach The St. Regis Bar - night live music from 7.30pm to 10.30pm, by Diane and Daniel. Daily, except Sunday where there’s no live music. Read moreOur recent stay at The St. Regis Langkawi was not just a vacation—it was an immersive experience in elegance, hospitality, and natural beauty. This is the kind of place that doesn’t just meet expectations; it rewrites your definition of what a perfect hotel stay should feel like.||We were fortunate to stay in a St. Regis Pool Suite with private pool and direct beach access—and it was breathtaking. The layout was spacious and serene, with thoughtful design elements at every turn. From the plush bedding to the intuitive lighting, from the outdoor shaded pool to the sun-kissed deck that opened directly onto a small pathway leading to the soft sand, every detail was tailored for comfort and joy. Even the minibar was curated with taste, and the evening turndown service felt like a whispered invitation to rest.||But what makes St. Regis Langkawi truly exceptional is its commitment to personalized service and the people who bring it to life. From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel like returning friends, not just guests. A heartfelt thank you to Ganesh, the passionate and ever-present F&B Manager, and to Yvonne, the warm and attentive Quality Manager, who ensured our every need was anticipated before we even voiced it.||The culinary experience deserves its own chapter. Breakfast at L’Orangerie was a daily ritual of delight, with a rich selection that spanned from local flavors to international classics. The Lang Mary—their signature twist on the Bloody Mary—was a spicy, invigorating treat. At lunch, we often gravitated toward the Beach Restaurant, where Bard’s gracious service made every meal feel like a seaside celebration. And in the evenings, whether enjoying the seafood buffet (which was exceptional, both in freshness and variety) or indulging in à la carte dining, the quality and flavor were consistently outstanding. The Orangerie team, including Izzat, Famezy, and really everyone we came into contact with, brought heart and elegance to each interaction. ||Our daughters were equally enchanted—not just by the setting, but by the kindness of the staff. They were genuinely impressed that the breakfast staff remembered their preference for the extra fluffy pancakes and presented them with Mickey Mouse shaped ones every morning. ||Special mention to Sahrul, from the entertainment team, who connected effortlessly with children and radiated joy.||The natural setting of the resort is spectacular: framed by lush rainforest and the Andaman Sea, it offers a unique feeling of intimacy with nature. One quiet afternoon, we were lucky to spot a group of dusky leaf monkeys playing in the trees near our villa and on the canopy shading our pool - a spontaneous, gentle reminder that we were guests in a living paradise.||Also the housekeeping team deserves accolades: our suite was always immaculate, yet we never felt intruded upon. Their invisible artistry added to the peace of mind that allowed us to fully unwind.||This is not just a five-star resort—it is a temple of beauty and hospitality, where architecture, nature, and service come together in perfect harmony. We left with sun-kissed skin, rested hearts, and the kind of memories that linger long after the tan fades.||Thank you, St. Regis Langkawi, for a stay that felt...
