Breeze Lounge, The Westin Langkawi Resort and Spa — Restaurant in Kedah

Really disappointed. My wife and I came from the nearby St. Regis for a late night snack. The waiters were not attentive and the food didn't taste good for the price we were paying. Fish and chips came in a small basket like plate with a slice of lemon. If I were to squeeze the lemon onto the fish, it would drip through the basket weaving and onto the table. Bad concept. The worst was the ice cream dessert. The waiter forgot the order until I asked about it 20 minutes later. When it arrived, the taste was like some very 'cheap' ice-cream. Stopped by after a bussiness meeting for coffee and some food. I sat by the bar. The lamb skewers were very underwhelming. It was cold, chewy and not seasoned. The grilled vegetable sandwich was tasteless. I Conveyed my feedback to the barman but got no proper response. He seemed disinterested. And to make matters worse, when I walked in at 5pm, I specifically asked a staff if there will be live music and she said it starts at 645pm only to be told by another staff at 630pm the band does not play on Thursdays. There were few other glitches with the service. Service bearing in mind it's the Westin, was subpar. The view from the lounge deck is great though. I won't be coming back anytime soon for the food or service...

PLEASANT BAR / LOUNGE WITHIN THE WESTIN LANGKAWI Fantastic views out to sea, live music at night and a decent menu of light foods. Full bar service and friendly staff. If you aren't staying at the Westin, catch a taxi in and enjoy the ambience anyway. Two-for-one drinks in the early afternoon for those who don't want to wait til a more respectable hour for their cocktail!!
