FYI I made the reservation through Agoda for Yee Tai Inn & Cafe and booked for 2 single bed bedroom. And i think this is the worst review i ever made. sorry for the language and the grammar.||||When I arrived in Sungai Lembing, the first thing i did was to look for a Chinese Association building, which is situated in the middle of the small town and you definitely won't miss it. From what i checked on the internet, I should go to the Hainan Association building but i was directed to the next building, Khek Association, for my room. Until today, I don't understand the arrangement of these lodgings. I was told by the lady who taking care of the little grocery shop inside the Hainan Association building, as she handed me my room keys, that she helped the other guy who was the original person in charge for the booking.||||I was directed to go to the Khek Association and find my way inside the building on my own. Nobody available to help me find my way inside the building.. but luckily i found my way and my room, and the room was really comfortable.||||The real thing is.. These buildings are managed privately by the association members and they take turn taking care of it. These are elder members we are talking about so~ it take some time for stuff or information to deliver. They are not trained to manage lodgings and some have problems with the language and communication. So do not blame yourself if you felt clueless or blur about the whole situation. I still don't understand the whole arrangements between these Hainan Association and Khek Association buildings.||||But anyway, after some difficulty finding my way into the Khek building, it was a relief that the room was comfortable (with shared bathrooms and toilets). The room was basic and remember to bring your own hangers coz there is no locker or hanger available. No huge mirror too, just a small one enough for your little face. ||||I think there were 10 rooms on the 1st floor of the Khek Building. The shared bathroom, about 5-6 cubicles. The whole floor was clean.||||Every tenant was given a set of keys; keys for our room, for building's front grill door and keys to the 1st floor door.. In other words, every tenant are responsible for the building safety. And to really ensure the safety of the building, there were about 5 to 6 dogs guarding the front door at night.. so talk nicely to them before...
Read moreFirst off, look for Persatuan Hainan Sungai Lembing although the booking was made for Yee Tai Inn. Rooms are upstairs where as ground floor is converted to restaurant and there are some local snack for sale at the cashier counter so it makes a convenient spot to grab some before heading off. ||||The inn next to Hakka Association and opposite the market hence it is a good location to be. The lady in charge also helps to arrange trips to the Rainbow waterfall if needed.||||Wifi is only available at common area and not at the room. Room is quite stuffy but you can request for additional stand fan to aid air circulation but there are limited stand fans. ||||The place is clean and simple . Some maintenance would good though as the room I was lodging has leak from the ceiling when it rained. The water pressure was weak as well from the water heater...
Read moreStayed for 1 night.||It's a clean and simple place to stay when visiting sungai lembing.||All rooms are located on the 2nd storey ( climb 2 flights of stairs; no elevators)|Think all of the hotels in sungai lembing are without elevators. ||Anyway, the rooms are really clean. ||The bed and the pillows are rather hard and stiff which might not appeal to all. ||One thing that I thought was a little weird was the toilet and shower.|It was located within the internal portion of the room without ventilation. Well, guess you could say that it ventilate into the bed room.||Didn't eat at the inn so no feedback on...
