Karasky Hotel — Hotel in Penang

Room are okay, simple & minimalist. If you choose to stay here, be prepare to hear the outdoor aircond sound so loud. I barely can't sleep. If you not care much about sound then this place is suit for you.

My experience on early check in are okay, but after 3 hours chill in the room suddenly have loud sound came out from outdoor aircond and it's vibrating.. so loud, so uncomfortable.

Then I inform to a receptionist about it and ask reception what solution I have, then the reception offer me to change the room. I agree and pack my stuff. I left the room and go to reception to change the room then surprisingly she said can't change the room. Then come one person they call Doctor, so annoying to deny the loud problem I'm facing and don't want to hear my complain and keep saying if I want to change I need to pay extra bla bla bla.. Then I said I don't care if I needed to pay extra. I just don't want to hear the loud sound and I want solution. Not arguing without solution. Then the doctor said okay but he just left the hotel and keep me waiting without solution. I was frustrated waiting for too long and end up with I go back to the room. The loud sound still there. Had to deal with it until my check out.

The room i was served is severely lacking in cleanliness aspect as the bedsheets and pillow sheets were somewhat smelly like it was used beforehand and not washed properly, the floor is horrendous as there was hair everywhere which shows the management were lacking in terms of cleanliness. Furthermore the female receptionist was really severely lacking in hospitality, rude and showing dismissive attitude when answering simple questions regarding which floor is my room and when I'm saying thanks, all the while showing a very lethargic and sleepy appearance despite the time was only around 9pm. The management should definitely coach the staff more on front desk attitude as well as checking the room's cleanliness before offering to customers. All in all a truly bad experience being a...

I had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The hotel just open few weeks ago. So all of the items in the rooms are new.

The water pressure in the bathroom is very good. No need to worry if you forgot to bring your toothbrush, shower gel, shampoo and towel cause this hotel will provide it free.

For those who need to iron your clothes/hijab, don’t worry because they already prepared set of iron.

However, this hotel doesn’t have any lift and only stairs available. So it’s kind of hard if the elderly wants to climb the stairs. Besides, the room isn’t soundproof. You can hear your next room television when they open it.
