In Trend Hotel — Hotel in Terengganu

So we stayed at In Trend Hotel while here in Kemaman for Chinese New Year and seems like we made a great choice, since we were also considering Residence Inn Cherating for this trip…

The In Trend has very nicely designed rooms that don’t seem out of place in a more posh business hotel in Kuantan (we stayed in their Family Room that comes with a Queen and Single bed, perfect for the four of us!). The owners have put lots of effort in making their rooms cozy yet classy, while a convenient Waters dispenser means we need not have a kettle to boil later - not forgetting their TV with 11 Astro channels to choose from!

The room also comes with stable WiFi which did not suffer from lag and this meant that all of us could use our respective gadgets with minimal downtime - something that some larger hotels still have issues with, considering the era of today’s high speed internet…

But what tops it off is the location - In Trend Hotel is smack in the center of the Chukai Utama commercial precinct, which has a huge variety of familiar brands in operation, like a shopping mall split into many shop blocks. Some of the nearby retail names include Al-Iksan Sports, Senheng, Watson’s, Mr. DIY, and Kuantan-based SMO Bookstore - plus the Kemaman branches of Affin, Maybank, CIMB, and Hong Leong banks (and the local foodie institution Hai...

We stayed a night at In Trend Hotel yesterday for a family occasion and one thing's for sure - it's a very well-designed boutique hotel in the Chukai Utama part of town!||Pros:|- Beautifully designed hotel with lobby and rooms reminiscent of those in a branded chain property (a la Hyatt or Hilton).|- Convenient location, in the area of Kemaman where many banks and F&B outlets are at.|- Very speedy and free WiFi, something that bigger hotels tend to somehow have problems with!||Cons:|- No in-house restaurant, which resulted in us having to drive out to look for brekkie at some other part of town.|- Considering our room was at Level 2 of this three-floor building, there is no elevator which meant we had to carry our luggage up two flights of stairs!|- Parking is along the street, which means it can be a hassle when the banks and nearby shops are open.||Still, for an affordable room rate, the In Trend Hotel remains a great and comfortable choice for a night's stay...

Standard hotel room. Clean and neat. Well maintained. Clean toilet with heater shower. Water dispenser with hot and cold water in the room. Self controlled air cond. Strong Wifi.

Helpful and friendly staff.

Hotel located in a quite new business area with wider road. Consider friendly to people who walk.

Quite convenient as there is surrounded by restaurant, food stall, bakery, dessert shop. With short walking distance. Founded bank and dobi also.

The only thing i don't like is the room is not soundproof enough to hear outside and neighbors.

And for parking wise, park at the Majlis Daerah parking lot in front of hotel and have to standby...
