La wood homestay — Hotel in Terengganu

Water issues (reposted - stayed on 07Jun2024) There is no water supply at the dispenser or sinky around 10.00pm There is no water supply in the bathrooms from 05.30am - 12.00 noon. So cannot shower, can not do big No 2 business and most important, how to pray without wuduk. As a Muslim, before doing my Subuh prayers, cleansing requires the use of water for my Wuduk. MONEY ain't everything. Unless Owner is actually non Muslim Urgent message not attended. Call not answered Refused 1 day refund with lame excuses. Air conditioning is not cold. Again, another lame excuse by the owner.

Sad to see how the owner responded cause I gave my honest bad review about the water issue. Accused me of not complying with their 2.00pm check-in + no show yet. The owner never admitted that I had booked the 1st room for a duration of 2 nites and already stayed for 1 nite. Then, i complained about the water issue the next day. The refund can't be made by booking cause I did not book under the term "free cancellation," but I demanded a refund from the homestay due to failure in providing basic water supply needed for a person who had stayed in that homestay. Guess good education is very important to understand basic human rights. The saying goes, "What's the point of providing bathrooms without water supply?" Stupidity at its best, I am guessing. 1 star is generous... It's just really not a nice place to stay. The room stank of vinegar The beds and pillow were super hard, woke up with a bad back The room was dirty, and stains everywhere Walls are made of plasterboard, zero sound proofing Room description was wrong (no double bed, photos not accurate) Price was high considering we have paid a lot less for MUCH better elsewhere in Malaysia Spiderwebs all around the window Toilet floor was wet and didn't drain properly after a shower We asked for another room but they asked us to pay more money The only positive is the proximity to the harbour I accept this is a low budget homestay but the place really needs some TLC. I don't think there's many better options in town but I'd strongly recommend against...

¡ES UNA ESTAFA! En el anuncio indican baño privado y wifi. Cuándo llegue al apartamento había una persona en la zona común viendo la TV. Mi supuesto baño privado estaba al lado de la TV con la puerta abierta, totalmente encharcado y lleno de pelos, ósea recientemente usado. Al entrar en la habitación y darme cuenta que mi baño privado era el de fuera, contacté con el anfitrión. Su respuesta fue que el baño era compartido con otra habitación que no tenía inquilinos (9), por lo tanto eso entendía él por baño privado (el anuncio pone que es baño privado y en ningún momento se menciona que esa condición dependa de la existencia de otros huéspedes, por lo tanto, imagino que se trata de una excusa que tiene preparada para todo el mundo). Respecto al wifi me dijo que funcionaba perfectamente y que lo acaba de consultar a otra inquilina (supongo que se refería a la chica que estaba utilizando mi baño). Posteriormente, contactó para decirme que sí no era de mi agrado podía cancelar y marcharme (a sabiendas de que a las 21h de la noche, después de un autobús de 15h, y con todas mis cosas organizadas, lo que menos me apetece es buscar otra alternativa y perder mi dinero. Ya dice mucho por parte del anfitrión que la única solución sea que te vayas). No puedo decir nada bueno de este piso porque en la habitación encontré numerosos insectos, entre ellos, una araña en mi cama. Por cierto, en este alojamiento se alcanzaban unas temperaturas de 40 grados por la noche, tanto que tuve que dormir con el aire acondicionado. A la mañana siguiente, cuando iba a abandonar el hotel, me llega un mensaje de Booking diciendo que el anfitrión ha cancelado la reserva porque no he acudido al alojamiento. Supongo que con el propósito de que no pudiera ponerle una reseña. Me puse en contacto con Booking y expliqué todo mi caso, permitiéndome escribir mi opinión. Además, les pedí que sancionarán a esta persona por engaño y estafa. Por último, y como detalle a destacar cuando volvía al edificio después de dar una vuelta por el pueblo, la chica de la TV salía de mi bloque de apartamentos, el B, para meterse en el bloque A, por lo que mi baño no sólo se compartía con 3 habitaciones del bloque B, sino que también con todo el bloque A.
