Kuala Besut Bus Terminal — Local services in Terengganu

Very unorganized. They don't announce which busses are going where, they just show up, you load bags, and it leaves shortly after. So you really have to be paying attention to each bus what company they are and ask where they're going cuz they don't all have destinations in the windows, or they're in abbreviations that a foreigner might not know what they mean. There's automated announcements telling you to "board immediately" but then nobody tells you where and everyone just stands around so it makes you wonder if you're the only person actually waiting for a bus. But then if you talk to a bus driver, then the others standing around also talk to the driver. So it seems nobody wants to talk to a driver until someone else has 🤦🏼‍♀️

No food options nearby except the supermarket and a seafood place that ignored me after I said "hello" multiple times (got the impression they didn't want to serve foreigners). If you like meat on sticks, that's the only hot food I found in the area that actually wanted...

The mutiara bus stuff, is so rude and not attentive to his own passengers.on 8/3/2024 around 5pm, we were asking politely if could drop our luggages and bags inside the mutiara office as our bus departs at 9pm.the Malay guy stuff responded rudely and sour scary face.is this the quality of mutiara bus ?? So rude and zero customer service. Surprisingly the other buses offices not only allows thier awaiting passangers to keep their luggages inside their respective offices, but they also attend politely and with smile. WE WILL NEVER BOARD YOUR MUTIARA BUS ANYMORE DUE TO YOUR RUDE STUFF. SO LOW CUSTOMER SERVICE AND INATTENTIVE !!!!!!! BAAADDDD SERVICE...

The bus terminal here is small with a few bays and a few ticketing offices that are not open all the time. Best to buy your tickets especially the long distance ones online.

There is a bus - AP Bumi, that goes to Kuala Terengganu a few times a day, notably 10am, 2pm and I think another one later. It costs Rm10.80 and takes about 2.5hrs into KT bus terminal in the city.

The bus is quite old and the aircon doesn't work well. When I took the bus, there were five other people on board. So I moved from left to right to left, etc to avoid the sun.
