I often come here since I work nearby. Today I was very disappointed with the price and food. Come here many times and usually the restaurant aren’t that crowded, price is reasonable, the portion is generous and seafood is fresh.

Today, the restaurant was very crowded with many foreign tourists. I order the same dish, seafood kueytiow. The food quality was poor, the kueytiow smell really bad due to the seafood is no longer fresh and the amount of seafood given was very small and little.

But it’s okay, today has many customers perhaps she has to ration it wisely, it was still bearable and I finished it. When it’s time to make payment, the Kueytiow has become 17myr , 5 dollar more than usual since the seafood Kueytiow price was only 12 myr two months ago. The milo drink is 3.5myr (normal). Total is 20myr.

I asked why the sudden increment, she answered, you’ve ordered seafood (she has definitely forgotten me since I’m lived nearby, her regular customer). She seemed ashamed after I questioned, then said 20myr will do. Hence I paid 20myr.

I am really not happy with the inconsistency when it comes to the food quality n pricing, especially when there are many tourists around. Indeed disappointing.

There are not many options when it comes to eating Chinese food in Besut. After all, Terengganu is a Muslim majority state and Besut is a small town with not many tourists.. except for those who want to take boat to Pulau Perhentian as this is the gateway to the paradise Island.

My friend has business here and when I stopped in this town enroute to Kuala Terengganu, he brought me to this rather old looking building in the middle of Besut town. The restaurant was basic, with plastic tables and chairs - no air conditioning and it can get quite stuffy in a hot afternoon too.
