I had a pleasant experience staying at 1511 Coconut Grove last year, and during my visit this time to Tioman, I chose to stay here again. However, there are a few areas where I believe the management of Coconut Grove can make improvements:||1. Breakfast Variety: Several reviewers have mentioned that the breakfast lacks variety and options. I genuinely hope that on my next visit, there will be an improvement in this aspect. If providing a more diverse breakfast menu incurs additional costs, one solution could be to incorporate these costs into the room rates. This way, the increase would likely be absorbed by the guests, and i believe it wouldn't lead to a significant price hike.||2. Ideal Sea View Rooms: It appears that the location of some sea view rooms is not optimal due to shrubs and trees obstructing the view. It would be highly appreciated if the management could clear the shrubs in front of these rooms and replant them strategically to avoid blocking the view. Additionally, removing any trees that obstruct the sea view would be a greatly welcomed move.||3. Restaurant Fly Problem: It seems that the issue of flies in the restaurant is prevalent in Tioman. I hope the management can address this problem by implementing suitable measures to control the fly population. This could include proper waste management practices, and installing fly traps or screens to minimize their presence.||4. Toilet Hooks or Hanging Bars: It would be convenient to have hooks or hanging bars installed in the toilets. This would provide a practical solution for placing our dry clothing during showering. By adding these simple amenities, guests would have a more comfortable experience during their stay.||Overall, I had a positive impression of 1511 Coconut Grove, and I believe these improvements would enhance the overall guest experience.||Lastly i want to emphasize the foods from the restaurant are good and tasty and i had all...

Worst and most disgusting hotel.

We chose this hotel based on the positive reviews, but our experience was nothing like what others mentioned. We had to change hotel rooms twice, and it was a nightmare from the start.

Firstly, we checked into room 109 and were greeted with a bathroom in terrible shape. The top walls were damaged and poorly held together with duct tape. My shower turned into a horror show as huge moths kept entering through the hole that the duct tape couldn’t keep out. There were 20-30 moths everywhere - on the walls, door, sink, floor and even flying around as I showered. It was gross and completely unacceptable. We had to switch rooms immediately.

The second room was better, but we could only stay one night there. The next day, we checked into our third room, only to find blood stains on the pillow and the water stopped while my partner was showering.

The final straw was when we asked about our taxi after checking out. Despite reminding the manager twice about it in advance, he claimed he thought we had our own transport and hadn't booked any taxi for us. He even told us to wait for the taxi at 12:30 pm the day before, and yet he continued to insist it was our mistake. The lack of accountability and the manager's attitude made our experience even worse.

Additionally, we couldn’t help but notice that the hotel treated Caucasian guests very differently. More attention were given and their requests were carried out. Probably we were Chinese, hence the bad attitude and poor service.

Overall, I had an extremely unpleasant experience with this hotel and its management. I won’t be coming back and advise others to...

It took us about 30 minutes to reach the place by 4-wheel-drive car from Tekek jetty. We were charged RM35 per person. Upon checking in, we were served with welcome drinks. The staff are friendly and helpful. Jasper is such a good person.

Location: The rooms are just in front of the beach. I am not sure whether the beach is private or not but we could find some privacy here since it is not crowded at all. The sea view from our room was so stunning. The beach and garden are very clean. It's a perfect spot to swim, view sunrise and take photos.

Room: The room is furnished moderately. There are no tooth brushes and tooth paste. A refillable water (free) bottle is provided too. Each room entrance are equipped with a water tap and hose to help you clean up yourself from beach sand.

There are rollable wooden blinds hanging on the tinted windows instead of curtains. It's totally fine during the day but when you turn on lights at night, people outside can see the inside of the room. Therefore, for guests who prefer privacy at night, bring some scarfs or light blanket to cover the windows. It is also recommended to minimize usage of air cond during the day since it could dampen the room floor.

Food: For breakfast, you can choose one of four main menus which are combinations of bread, egg, baked beans, butter, honey and waffle. You also can have your lunch and dinner here. However, the price is quite pricey.

Service: They can arrange water activities such as snorkeling for you. The speed boat will come to the beach to bring you to different snorkeling spots.

Husband and I will definitely revisit this place. It's a gem of...

Lovely place. Quiet and staff are friendly. Rooms are comfortable. Beach front chalet is the best when you wake up to the morning sun and a view of the beach and sea. Take the rooms furthest away from The Barat for peace and quiet. This place is good for either couple or family. This resort is away from from hustle and bustle of the other parts of Kampung Juara and is not crowded. Chalets are well spaced out. The beach is great for family and kids. It's sandy beach and water is clear and clean. Hardly any rocks and no rubbish. Waterline is a gentle slope instead of a drop. You need to swim out about 100-150m from shoreline for some rocks and bits of aquatic life. You can lend a life jacket from the reception of you're not a good swimmer. Rip tide and under current was not apparent when I was swimming. Fun fact: You can actually see the water thermal layer in the evening. Food at the cafe is ok. In fact, guests from The Barat actually come here to eat. Since this place is the other side of Tioman, you need to stop at Tekek and take a 4WD to reach Kampung Juara. Arrange it with the resort. It'll be cheaper by RM5 per person than hailing at Tekek. Pros: You can pay via credit card. Quiet and not crowded Friendly staff Chalets and most amenities are well kept Grounds are well kept Airconditioner is super cold Peaceful, serene and relaxing Cons: My room's water heater wasn't working (Room 104) Not enough beach chairs Beach chairs are broken and Resort don't seem to be bothered about it No treeline for shade at the beach No reed to snorkel about Will I return? Definitely yes.
