I had lunch at Mia's Cafe twice already and it's so far my favorite restaurant on the island. The lime juice is great, the eggplants sambal and spicy ginger and garlic tofu are both super delicious and not that spicy in my opinion. The pineapple pancake was also nice and I preferred it over the chocolate pancake.

It can be a little weird to see the sign that order is closed but it basically just means you have to be patient. I saw it put out and packed away several times while eating there and I think it is more of a guide as to how long it will take until you get your food. Compared to western standards it will probably still be a normal time even if you order while the sign is out / wait until order is open again.

It's at least currently not open for dinner and also closed on Wednesday (like many places at Juara Beach), so don't necessarily trust the opening times on Google but rather pass by and ask about the opening times for the next...

This restro is a highlight of our stay in Juara island. The food is fabulous, non MSG, dedicatedly cooked and nicely served. We came back 2 times. Love their squid salad, beehoon, koay teow, seafood fried rice, mixed juice drink. The wait is long as chef wife cooks each dish and her hubby serves and make drinks but we just brought along Uno and played, or wandering around the beach. ^^ We got plenty of time . One time my kid ordered water melon juice and even amongst the busy time, the husband drove out to buy water melon to make the drink. Instead of saying, sorry, can you order other on our menu he prioritized the customer's need. We love their humble decent way of running the business. Thank you for making our trip a memorable tasty one....

The lady serving us appeared unfriendly, making the experience here unwelcoming. They get NO stars for her service. Wonder if the other positive reviews are real? The nasi lemak with chicken is REALLY overpriced (12MYR), it costs 5 ringgit more than the normal nasi lemak for the addition of a piece of chicken wing (see pic). We ordered a second round of roti canai, waited more than half an hour before the unfriendly lady told us with no apology that they are out. Surely, they could have known ahead of time if they have enough roti instead of wasting our time!! I really hope the unfriendly lady reads this and other reviews about her unfriendly, disrespectful and inconsiderate attitude and makes some...

I love this place! Do take note that it’s a family kitchen; one man was handling the front counter and the lady was cooking up the dishes. They’re both friendly people. But if you’re rushing for time and you see that it’s crowded, I’d recommend you to find another place. They serve really authentic Malay food for a reaaaaallllyyy good price. For context, I got a fried rice, a tom yum vegetable soup, and an iced Nescafe for less than 20 ringgit! I took two hours to finish it hahah. The wifi here is also strong and I was able to stream videos while having my dinner and watching the sun set. I wanted to eat here every day, it was just that good!
