First arrived ground floor room 21 tired and maintenance to room needs up keep . Toilet door is not a full door it’s like a saloon door which whether ur a couple or not you need privacy . Bulbs flashing cracked toilet and the room in general dull only good thing it’s facing a lovely ocean . Requested a move which was done immediately and no hassle overlooking pool and to be fair satisfactory bright clean and a full door on toilet but may I say design of toilet cubicle to small and I’m not a large build . Air con needing maintaining better . Dirty and filter full of fluff /dirt blowing warm air due to the fact I used to work in a hotel and maintain air conditioning I cleaned our rooms filters myself. The food I can clearly say was very good most nights and pleased with meals staff over meal times good . Bar staff need to smile more they are so miserable and I feel it brings the place down . More cleanliness needed on and around pool as things like broken hair clips left in stone edging for two days and straws , overall the money you pay to stay here it should not be looking tired glasses on top shelf of centre bar not cleaned at all for over a week whether display purposes or not ,no cleaning of sun loungers . Now entertainment was too loud 9.30 to 11 blasting music and karaoke and I know some people complained to have it turned down. The snorkelling which is free gave my wife goggles but no snorkel and when asked he said he had one on boat so my wife walked to boat with others to be give a snorkel which had diesel in it which she swallowed some this was reported to main reception and dealt with and she had to sit on boat till it brought people back . The resort is mainly French orientated in a nutshell would we come back no it needs a revamp and staff need retraining we pay a lot of money...

My family and I had a truly awful experience at Peninsula Bay, the worst hotel we've encountered in Mauritius.
Our frustrations began upon arrival: no available parking despite waiting in line, and no welcome cocktail. This set the tone for a disappointing stay.
We booked two rooms for two nights. Disappointingly, one room had cockroaches and another had rats! Even the restaurant has cockroaches. While they eventually offered a room change, we had to wait until the next evening, significantly disrupting our vacation.
The cramped rooms provided little comfort, especially the one booked for three people. The tiny, shared bathroom offered zero privacy, making it feel more like a brothel than a hotel room. To add insult to injury, the minibar was empty.
On top of that, the all-inclusive package wasn't fully honored. When we requested a specific drink listed on the menu, the staff refused to serve it. Their solution was to call the accounts manager who treated us with utter disrespect, turning his back and walking away mid-conversation. This level of unprofessionalism is unheard of in any reputable hotel.
Even basic amenities were lacking. Tea time was delayed and offered limited options, and on our first night, the buffet served spoiled noodles that were only removed after most guests had already finished their dinner.
If you're seeking a pleasant 3-star experience in Mauritius, look elsewhere. There are countless far better options available. Stay away from Peninsula Bay unless you want your vacation marred by frustration and...
Read moreSitting by the bar at the evening, enjoying our drinks, we have started to look at the personel, how they rinse the glasses after each customer (not even using any washing liquid) and just putting it back on the shelves to serve other customers. Even though the washing machine is JUST there! SCARY 😱. I went to the manager who after 5-10 minutes appeared at the bar, telling them what I said, however you could see that they just laughed : 'another annoying customer complained'.. Which is even more scary.. No hygiene understanding... Very...
