Hotel Quintas del Sol — Hotel in Baja California

This place is what I expected for the price we paid. People that complain should know better, if you choose the cheapest hotel, this is what you're gonna get. We were looking for two double rooms for two nights in Rosarito for a family trip, and we only found two choices, this hotel and a luxury hotel that we could not afford. The rooms were clean but the furniture was so old and broken, even though they were clean, the rooms still looked ugly. we had ants and couldn't leave any food in sight. The pool was filthy, but got cleaned the next day. There's no A/C in the rooms, just ceiling fans, luckily we had brought an extra fan from our house and it helped a lot as it was hot inside the room and the ceiling fan wasn't enough. There was a piece of wood covering a hole in the floor under the carpet in the middle of the room and we tripped all the time, specially the kids, as it was uneven with the rest of the floor. The first rooms we got faced the busy street but we requested to be moved to the ones facing the patio. We got moved to two other rooms facing the pool which were better, but we were told that there's a gymnastics class early in the morning and that the noise was going to wake us up, but that did not happen. I give the property a FAIR rating, as some things are good and some are bad. The security is excellent, as are the laundry, trash pickup and landscaping. However the building is somewhat dilapidated especially on the top floor where the roof overhangs. Since the panels are falling off, pigeons are occupying the attic creating noise, guano and dead bird carcasses to taint the experience. One of the 2 elevators works, but the broken one must have something dead inside because it absolutely reeks!|That being said, we do enjoy the INSIDE of our condo, since the owner has renovated it nicely. TERIBBLE, Room was small facing the street so we got all the traffic noise at night. We had to close the only window the room had so it was very uncomfortable at night. I had to fight with them just to get 1 bath towel per guest. we stayed 2 days and I had to complain both days about it. We went down to the hot tub on a Friday night but they said that it is only turned on Saturdays during the summer. To finish it all off, they attempted to use my credit card for online purchases.
