This is a private community of homes that some are rentals with rules that make this a great place to stay. Stayed in #108 a beautiful 4 bedroom 4 bath home with a perfect view of the surf spot. We arrived to find everything beautifully maintained and decorated. We had a garage to park one of the vehicles. We quickly unloaded our stuff and headed straight to the pool for tacos and margaritas. This is not a restaurant but some people making tacos on the grill and blending margaritas pool side on the weekend. This is a lovely community that you can walk the neighborhood and feel very comfortable. Guards at the gate when you arrive and then just waived us in and out as we had a sticker on the car. There are food places and a market just steps from the front entrance. Walk down to the beach and watch the surfers or play volleyball. If you don't want to get sandy go to the pool and spa and sit in a lovely area and enjoy. Remember this is not a hotel, you are renting a home. Follow the rules and you will enjoy your...
Read moreBeautiful homes and view. Not a good place for talking or music past 10pm. Rules are strictly enforced. Talking on the balcony past ten can get you a $100 fine. We were smoking cigars and talking quietly on the balcony when we noticed a man crouching in the dark below us. I walked over to him to investigate—it was a guard. First he said he’d smelled marijuana (which we did not have.) Then he admitted he was listening to fine us if we were loud enough. It was difficult to enjoy the calm evening under the stars knowing there was a man crouched in the dark under our balcony.....What it comes down to is that neighborhood residents don’t appreciate tourist groups intruding on their neighborhood, they readily call the guards. But maybe that’s the trade-off to stay in a gated community. ||The beach is private. There’s a small shop across the road, but If you want to go to dinner you’ll need to drive. Fire pits and palapas on the beach are a big...
Read moreThis place is a must do. Each house is rented individually and can be found on VRBO or through other accommodations websites. The beach is private and a great spot for surfing so you should bring your board and your family. Very family friendly and high level of security 24/7.
I was able to take a surf lesson and they had to have a lot of proof that I was staying there to allow the person in to come for the lesson.
Delish bonus- also they have a on site Taco guy where you can order all the delicious seafood that you would like. Also a bar on site at the pool was available. Bring cash! Bring your own groceries and rent a house here would be a great way to spend any time with your family.
The best part Has to be how are the waves crash on the beautiful path on the first row I couldn’t get enough of the beauty of Las Gaviotas and can’t...
