Xoza Hotel Urban Escape — Hotel in Cancún

Worst hotel ever!!!! So disappointing & staff was horrible. We had a rental car and they showed pictures of a garage parking and when we got there you could only park in front of hotel the guy at the desk said the had no access to it. The room was way smaller than the pictures, breaker for the ac was off, the tv wasn’t even plugged in and not even set up to watch anything and no directions on how to use it since it had 2 different remotes. The room had no towels when we arrived,had to ask for them at the front desk and the guy asked us why we didn’t bring our own, even had an attitude when he had to get up and look for them. On the booking description it says that there would be housekeeping every day ( we stayed 6 days) no one ever came to our room. They give you enough toilet paper for a few days. They give you no soap and when we asked they also told us that we had to bring our own. A few days in they had a bunch of workers making so much noise in the hallway and carrying beds up and down for hours. The elevator is so sketchy barely two people fit in it and was making really weird sounds. The water didn’t get hot enough or they would just turn it off. They have no actual security just some guy that sleeps on the couch in the lobby.DO...

I loved it here! It was my first time in Cancun and I wanted to be in the city to get to know the local culture and people more. The location is a good starting point to Uber anywhere you want or need to go as a tourist and even walk to the Centro. There is an awesome, amazing local place with great breakfasts 5 min walk away (Lonchería El Pocito). I would especially emphasize the amazing help and talks with the staff, especially Erick was extremely helpful with insights, ideas and I appreciate the honest friendlyness a lot. Everyone speaks English and the rooms are exactly what I wanted. Nice bathroom, AC and a comfortable, clean bed. It is great for a few days stay. For longer I think having a room with more wardrobes would male more sense. I find this good value for money - still in Cancun, tidy, clean and safe, walking distance from the happening and I felt super safe all the time, also walking...

Super weird hotel, certainly not 4 star. Location is in ghetto part of the city, super shady, the guy at the reception seemed high all the time. On the good side the rooms were new and clean, but the room did not feature hairdryer, no safety deposit box(were in the room description), the water at the shower was cold/ lukewarm, and the room had NO WINDOWS to the outside, just to the corridor.the walls are extremely thin you can hear everything happening in the hotel. Also the hotel charges their own exchange rate which is different than the one they show when you book through booking.com I would not say it was worth the price, and the 4 star rating on this thing...
