Grand Cantalagua Hotel Morelia — Hotel in Michoacán

Check in was easy, all staff very helpful and pleasant. The hotel is well kept and pretty clean. The only problem with our room is that the a/c makes weird noises that would wake us up throughout the night. Otherwise, it’s comfortable. However, we probably won’t return to this location. After a long day in the city during a 90+ degree day, we were looking forward to lounging outside by the pool to cool off. We brought some snacks with us as well as a bottle of wine. While we were on our way there we were told we were not allowed to take any food or snacks outside even though there are patio chairs and tables. We weren’t allowed to enjoy our snacks anywhere besides our room, per hotel policy. I have never stayed in any hotel in Mexico or the US with such absurd rules. I’ve stayed in hotels that don’t allow glass containers near the pool area, that is totally understandable. But nothing at all? One of the staff members said it was because they sell food at the hotel and they want people to purchase from them. We’ll, we won’t be back. I find it ridiculous that I’m constrained to my room if I want to relax and enjoy a snack...

My stay was very relaxing, check-in and check-out were smooth. I loved that it was quiet at night, and the beds were extremely comfortable. Room service was nice, it didn’t took long for them to arrive with our order.

I would suggest there was a mini fridge in the rooms, it would be essential.

There were a few minor issues—the bathroom mirror light took a while to turn on, possibly due to a wiring issue. Also, one of the bath towels had a stain that looked like makeup or something beige, which of course I didn’t use because it was disgusting haha.

La recamareras y las recepcionistas se portaron muy bien conmigo y mi pareja en cuanto a los señores que te reciben en la entrada los de la noche no sé si los turnen pero los que me tocaron a mí por la noche fueron muy discriminantes con mi pareja, los en la mañana todo otro show muy amables y muy corteses,tambien nos tocó una mala experiencia con los meseros teníamos que andarlos buscando y no solo nosotros sino otros huéspedes también se dedicaban a estar atendiendo a unas personas que ni hospedadas estaban y solo fueron a quedarse en la alberca a poner música a todo volumen (cuando la mayoría de los que estábamos en la alberca estaban con sus hijos, leyendo o relajándose) y se pusieron incomodar a la gente que estaba hospedada en el hotel dos chicass que iban con éllos se pusieron super ebrias empezaron a hostigar a mí y a mi pareja y a otro señor que iba con su esposa y sus hijos también tuvimos que irnos y también otra señora que estaba con su hija y cerca de ellos porque las chicas se pusieron muy intensas y empezaban a hostigar mucho a los hombres se supone que iban ellas en plan con otros chavos y los chavos terminaron poniéndose hasta las chanclas y ellas queriendo ligar con todos los tipos que se topaban por el hotelen cuanto a los meseros se dedicaban solamente atenderlos a ellos, no sé si porque les iban a dejar propina o estaban tomando pero a nosotros nunca nos atendieron ni a las otras mesas, teníamos que irlos a buscar hasta donde estaban para poder pedir algo y pues al final de cuentas solo pedimos una pizza y nunca nos llevaron a las bebidas por lo que mi pareja optó por salir a comprar bebidas por qué pues no íbamos a estarle rogando para que nos llevarán algo de tomar y los tipos que están en la entrada dijeron que pues teníamos que salir a comprar cosas porque no teníamos para poder comprarlo ahí adentro siendo que sí teníamos pero no nos querían atender así que pues no teníamos por qué estar rogándoles por su atención aunque es su trabajo pero sí quiero que tengan en cuenta eso para si quieren hospedarse ahí que tengan en cuenta que puede que lleven el plan de descansar pero les toque que dejen pasar ese tipo de gente al hotel y adiós descanzo, lastimosamente mente solo pudimos pasar media hora en la alberca y fue la principal cosa por la que nos hospedamos en ese hotel, de saber que pasaría eso nos hospedamos en algún otro.
