Hotel Punta Galeria — Hotel in Michoacán

the security guard who was outside the hotel was very attentive in all our questions and recommended us places to eat and helped us get a taxi and brought us some water bottles to our room (we paid for) he was very attentive unfortuatly we can't speak the same of the lobby/bell boy he was very rude and every time we called to ask questions from the room he made us feel like we kept bothering him due to a family emergency we had to leave our stay 2 days before and he would not give us our money back for the nights we had already paid and would not be using we told him we will be coming back and we didn't want the money but if we can get credit for our stay in the future with them since we will back back in about 3weeks he again said that he could not provide such voucher and that giving us the money back would not be possible horrible customer service the hotel company really needs to reevaluate what the meaning of hospitality means especially during these hard times we are in during covid I would def not recomend this place to any of our family or friends your better off staying at the near by...

Within steps from a restaurant that has loud music from 9PM -12 AM on weekday night. Room had single pane windows. No central or air conditioner. Can get cold in December. Try to request room in top floor. Had room on first floor and next door neighbors were loud. Neighbors consisted of a family with small crying children and it looked like the number of occupants exceeded the capacity of room. Was not able to sleep at all. Called front desk to report noise and security office came. Requested to be moved to another room and he mentioned that I would have to wait until the next day. Ended up leaving and checking out early. Totally unacceptable. Next time, I will stay near the historic downtown area. This hotel is used more by locals and their families. Although the hotel is about 15 minute drive to downtown public transportation was accessible. On the downside, to cross the main street by walking can be very dangerous as there is no middle lane. I arrived a night and found the hotel difficult to locate with a satnav...check Google maps to be sure your know where it is. Car parking is easy and convenient to reception. The reception area is very basic however the reception staff were helpful. ||||After a long hot day it was disappointing to find there isn't a bar! A cold beer was purchased from the restaurant to be downed in simply furnished lobby area. We didn't eat here at all, going out to eat in the evening and early starting in the morning.||||Access to our and I suspect most rooms is via a series of steps so perhaps this isn't the best place for disabled visitors. The rooms was simple and clean, being well away from roads the hotel is quiet.||||A very pleasant bar / restaurant with atmosphere is located just a few yards walk down the hill...recommended as an evening...
