※La gerente me envió mensajes acosadores. Además, me bloqueó. Así no es como un empleado debe tratar a un huésped, este hotel es horrible.
These are the following incidents during my one night stay at the hotel:
❶My credit card was charged twice for the room (the hotel manager offered no assistance and told me to contact Booking.com after I asked about this).
However, Booking.com response was that the hotel should take care of it because we paid in advance, but the female manager here was not very accommodating!
❷ I arrived an hour after the hotel’s check-in time and was told the room was not ready yet. They made us wait in an largely unshaded area for 20 minutes, after we mentioned we had spent the whole afternoon out in very hot temperatures.
❸When we unlocked the room assigned to us, there was a couple inside on the bed who were also hotel guests. The guests were also startled and the hotel management didn’t say much at all after we told them of this incident.
❹The room we ended up staying in had a shower head that wasn’t working fully, water pressure was low, and the shower drain was 80% clogged leading to water pooling whenever we tried to shower—it was unsanitary. We reported to staff and took a video of the drain, and no action was taken during our stay. There were a number of fixtures that needed maintenance or fixing, a wall lamp was loose and a chair was also loose and wobbly. There was no hanger space for jackets, which is an odd design choice.
❺The hotel was really unfriendly and did not say "goodbye” or "thank you" after we check-out, but asked us to pile our luggage in a corner ourselves when we asked to store the bags. They also saw our taxi pull up and did not help with bags or acknowledge our departure (the manager was sitting 4 meters away and just ignored us).
❻When I mentioned all the events 1-4 to the hotel manager, she was very unapologetic and had no desire to improve.
⚠️The number one improvement would be to change the hotel manager to someone else. She is not service oriented at all and is really terrible to deal with. I've lived in Mexico City for 10 years and this is the first time I've had such...
Read moreThe senior hotel staff are really unpleasant. Unhelpful, unresponsive and rude. Seemingly they were sat with their friends for long periods of the day at reception making it feel unapproachable.
The photography of the pool area is very ‘creative’ and does the reflect the actual space.
The rooms are absolutely fine, although I personally found the mattress too firm.
The location is good, only a short walk to the zocalo and surrounding area and about a 30 min walk to the start of the hiking trails.
Be careful of the hotel dog on site.. she seems friendly, being allowed to beg off guests in the dining area, wagging her tail and approaching everyone but she bites if you try to pet her. She has also not had her rabies...
Read moreWe cannot shout enough about how good this hotel was. Absolutely stunning. 10/10 location. Rooms where beautiful and spotlessly clean. They cleaned our rooms daily and provided fresh pool towels as well as room towels. 5 minutes walk to the main area and lots of restaurants.
