NO VOLVERÍAMOS JAMÁS A ÉSE HOTELUCHO

I’ll say the positive things first:|The staff is great. They deserve kudos. The breakfast is good. The grounds are beautiful. It’s a 10-15 minute walk to the market/plaza/zocalo. The decor is sparse but attractive. |BUT|a staff member had to let us in our room EVERY time because neither of us had wrists/hands strong enough to turn the key in the lock. |Breakfast doesn’t start until 8:30 and there’s no in-room coffee which sucks if you’re an early riser or enjoy coffee in bed or without having to dress to get some. |The grounds have tons of debris in corners which need to be burned or trashed. |Now for the room: |Two twin beds. Each bed has one mostly flat, hard pillow. The beds themselves are comfortable. The pillows suck. |Bedside tables are adequate and there are lamps and outlets by each. |There is only space to fully open one carry-on size bag. Anything else goes on the concrete floor. There are no rugs. There are 2 wooden arm chairs but neither is large enough for a suitcase. The only tables are small so there’s simply not enough space to unpack. There is a closet in the bathroom but it has no hangers so it’s worthless since there’s no dresser for clothes. You literally have to live out of your suitcase on the floor. |The tv is a smart tv so it has Netflix but it’s tiny and the volume isn’t very good. If you’re running the overhead fan, it’s almost impossible to hear the tv unless the fan is on a low setting. |The bathroom has one tiny bar of (very nice) soap provided, 1 bottle of liquid hand soap, 1 bottle of lotion. |There are 2 nice bath towels, but only 1 towel rack, and only 1 washcloth, only 1 small trash can and 1 bin for toilet paper. |The bathroom sink is a slanted piece of glass with no bowl so absolutely everything placed on the sink gets wet since the water drains downward from the slab of glass. Therefore, there’s really no room for cosmetics, etc. unless they’re in waterproof containers. |The shower floor is dangerously slick. It doesn’t have a no-slip mat or permanent non-slip strips so unless one is quite agile, it’s not really safe. |It does have good pressure and after it finally gets hot, it’s a decent shower. |The toilet paper holder had been poorly repaired and didn’t stay attached to the wall. There’s no exhaust fan in the bathroom either so it smells a bit like mildew. |The glass walls mean having to have the shades pulled the entire time if you value privacy or want to keep the room cool. Even the bathroom is visible if the front door isn’t covered by the shade cloth so one must either dress in the bathroom or pull the shade down over the front door. |The first step into the pool is too deep for my friend with a knee replacement to use. It’s very very steep. The pool is otherwise very nice and the temperature is great. It’s not cold as many pools in Mexico are. No pool towels are provided. |There’s a nice tiny balcony on each room. Ours faced dead debris so we didn’t use it. In fairness, it’s not rainy season and it’s probably beautiful when it’s green. |Basically, it’s just a room for one person with 2 beds to choose from. |My opinion is that’s it’s pricey for...

My wife and I came one night to this Hotel. We generally stay at Casa Fernanda, but given the short notice, we did not have an alternative.||I really am confused as to why the rooms are so expensive. We stayed in the "suit" which has no a/c and was missing blinds. When we arrived, Diana (who really needs to work in her people skills and should not be in charge of customer service) offered a very late check-out for us which we accepted before we knew what we were walking into. After seeing the condition of the room we decided to leave earlier since there was nothing much to do at the hotel. However after a couple of incidents such as asking them to put a blind so we could have a good night rest Diana informed us that we had to leave at 12--so we did her one better and left on the spot. The price of admission is really not reflected in the accomodations and cuatomer service. If there is one bright spot is Miguel a bellhop. We really do not recommend this place. For the same price, or less, you will find much better service and accomodations...
