Mesón de las Delicias — Hotel in Morelos

The room had a musty smell when we were first shown the room. It took a while for the A/C to kick in. We left the A/C on when we left the room. We left it at 24°C and maybe we didn't set it up correctly but it was off when we got back to the room a few hours later and the smell was back. We turned the A/C back on, turned it down to 20°C and left the room for about an hour. They have a sitting area with 2 roomy wood chairs where we were able to enjoy a drink and the breeze. That was quite enjoyable, especially after being out and about walking around for several hours. The bathroom is nice and roomy, however the way the floor is "shaped" most of the water from the shower spills out and the matt to step onto gets sopping wet. The complimentary breakfast was good. We decided to order café de olla, big mistake! It was TRASH. It was too thin, runny, watery and it tasted funky. They over did the orange peel and all 3 in our party, definitely did not like it. This place was the most horrible hotel experience I've ever had out of hundreds of stays. We were placed in room #6 and the shower FLOODED, because the bathroom is designed poorly, with the floor sloping outward toward the main room. The water ends up flooding not just the bathroom but ran into much of bedroom and even outside. (see photos attached.)||||When we showed the employees the entire mess they told us they had no other rooms and refused to do anything about it. Instead of being apologetic they shrugged at us, and they clearly know this is a regular problem with the room. I'm actually disgusted because if this happens so regularly then clearly there is also potential sewage and mold problems with the rooms. (and other reviews on Google imply that there is a terrible sewage smell here regularly)||||We ended up needing to switch hotels last minute at 1130pm at night. Horrible people,...
