From the start the whole experience was weird. The contact number on the website or on google doesn't take you to the hotel. Somehow, I reached a line that seems to go to a central line for the chain and they didn't know anything about that specific hotel. They gave me contact no to reach the hotel but it was always busy. Anyways the front staff Daniella is very rude and cold. Not welcoming at all. Room 214 was dirty. I asked for a room change and I got an even dirtier one on the 3rd floor! We are not yet out of pandemic completely and pandemic taught us how important cleanliness is. No one on the staff seems to be of assistance or care that the rooms are dirty. They just give you a room and anything else you ask they just ignore or are rude and u have no interest of asking again! Can you imagine they didn't even deny having a bottle opener in the whole hotel when they have a full-fledged kitchen? There is breakfast but nothing out of the ordinary. Their website claims to provide antigen covid test but when asked at the front desk they denied having one. Then change your website if you don't have it anymore. How misleading and inconvenient It's not a great place unless you know Spanish. No one knew English and it was a little alarming given Monterrey is a business place. It's weird to expect everyone to know Spanish. You would expect the front desk to have someone fluent in other languages to assist the customers. I would say at least the shops around, especially the local burger shop, were more welcoming. Even though they didn't know English, they made me feel so welcome and assisted me every step. They understood how it feels to be in a foreign land. If its a hotel, provide service, just don't stand there with an unwelcoming attitude. Avoid this place unless you just want to visit the US CAS and don't care about comfort and cleanliness. They have false advertising on their...
Read moreThe hotel was exceptional = everything you would want from it. Check-in//check-out at 12 and 3 pm respectively. Nice , neat and freshly built and with an interesting design rooms (they even have usb sockets in wall plugs). Full and very diverse breakfast 7 am-- till 11 am - you have an unlimited choice between several dishes including scrambled eggs, potatoes, fruits, waffles, coffee and juice, and so on. Spacious half-empty parking for 2$ per day, convenient location - 20 min of walking to MacroPlaza and all the museums. Everyday room service, very quiet inside even though the hotel was full of people. Located on a small food/bank court with KFC, McDonalds and some local eateries//coffeeshops. Good WiFi. Computers and printers available in the lobby, as well as a small conference room and small video setup with a big tv. Nice quiet air conditioning and big beds (i'm a tall person, so i appreciate king size of beds).
Two minor point for improvement = it is slippery in shower, good that we had a handle; not all receptionists speak English well, as a hotel in the centre of a huge city i think it's a must.
We will be...
Read moreIt was just a horrible experience at this hotel. Pros - located near to many fast food places Quite secure Family friendly place Friendly staff except evening staff at front desk
Cons - Horrible smell in the rooms Dead flys in the sink Dust all over the place. Check the dust behind the tvs to have a better understanding Mold in the bathrooms Unfriendly staff in the evening. The lady at the counter was totally unacceptable and not helpful at all. I have encountered a couple of situations where the lady at the front desk is ready to help locals but not foreigners. Also the young guy who works in the evening was horrible. I saw a customer complaining about the sewage smell in the room but the staff guy was least bothered and laughing about it. He was not even ready to shift the customers room.
I would not recommend this place. Please find a better place if...
